Will stock 16 inch fit?

G'day All.
New member and new owner of a 1997 Jeep TJ all stock except current wheels are 30x9.5x15. The wheels are shot and tires are almost gone.
Question is: Will stock 225/75r16 wheels fit my stock vehicle since they where originally 15's? I have not additional lift on the vehicle.
Thanks in advance for any info.
Mike

As long as you have 16" wheels it should be fine

Gixxerphil, thanks for info, however, I do not have 16's currently only 15's.
The jeep manual only shows the vehicle with 15's and thats my question will a stock jeep 16 fit my vehicle since it came with 15's?
Thanks

as long as the lug pattern is correct then yes you can go to 16's. look for 5X 4.5 pattern and you will be fine.

I got a set of 16" steel wheels from a Jeep Liberty and they fit fine on my '98 TJ.
Just make sure you get the correct bolt pattern, which is 5x4.5 (or 5x114 in metric).

The 225/75R16 is just over 29" tall and just under 9" wide. You'll have no trouble fitting this size tire as long as you have a 16" wheel that is 5x114.3 (same as 5x4.5) with the correct offset.

Here's a link to some aftermarket 16" wheels that will fit your jeep. Wheel Products - Discount Tire Direct

If you are looking at a used set of wheels off another jeep, post up the wheel specs or the year make and model that they came off and we should be able to tell you if they will work or not.
