Wrangler MTR

Can anyone explain why it seems Goodyear only makes one side of a directional set of tires?
Every set I've seen is like this and they even say this side out...
Yet look at the tread pattern left to right. Something doesn't add up right.
I saw 2 Wranglers today alone with this setup.

No white walls seems like it could be fixed by flipping them around but as I said they say which side to put out.

No they are not directional, they are assymetrical. Hence why the larger lugs are towards the outside.

I have no idea what you mean that one side is reversed direction.

The one side looks to have a v type pattern and it looks like it runs backward. If thats what Goodyear says is right than it must be right.

Here is how they look properly mounted. It is a little weird how the lugs on the outside on one side angle up and angle down on the other side but that is assymetrical design I guess. All I know is they work real well.
