After much consideration Ive decided on a new tire to replace my stock mud terrains. Does anyone have any personal experience with Yokohoma Geolandar A/T G015? Good or bad.

I want more of a road tire as I do mostly highway driving but also something that can handle snow. It doesn't snow often where I live but when it does the roads are terrible!

Thanks in advance.

I had the Yokohama's on my Kia Sorento a few years back. The tires were decent, but nothing to write home about. I never had snow...

Another tire to consider is the Kumho AT51. I would buy it in a 275/70-17 which is basically the exact same diameter as stock and about 3/4" wider. They have amazing snow traction and here is a snipit from a tire review.

On the highway this is a tire that may leave you wondering if you might be driving on an all-season model. Sounds crazy, but you can expect a quiet ride that is much smoother and without all the harshness you might expect on an all-terrain model. We’ve heard the same thing time and again in driver reviews of this tire as well.

Good luck!

One of my coworkers is running a set on his FJC (don't kill me, lol). He's very pleased with their performance thus far. You can read his initial impressions here. Unfortunately no feedback with the white stuff yet.

Ultimately the right tire model for you will depend on your goals and what you need from your tires. If you would like us to help you select the right model for your needs and uses feel free to shoot us a PM. You can browse our online selection here as well.

I have had these tires on my FJ (Fake Jeep) for over a year with no complaints at all. They are very quiet, super smooth and handle dry/wet conditions great. I am in Phoenix and choose not to go into snow conditions but one of my co-workers has them as well. He said they handle snowy roads without any problems.

I also have taken them off road a few times and was very impressed with their off-road traction even without airing down.

Let us know if we can help.

So far so good, unfortunately, haven't had much weather to see how they react. I was actually hoping for a little snow... I can say they are almost silent compared to those old mud terrains! I bought these over KO2's because I do mostly highway driving. No doubt in my mind these would be great off road. But I felt they would be a better on road tire than the KO2's... pure opinion...

I had them on a RAV4 2wd in northwest Indiana for years. They are a good tire and do well in both the rain and the snow. You won't have to worry too much about the tire. Nothing to do with Jeeps, but after moving to Tennessee, I learned more about tires and went with Michelin Defenders on the RAV and Corolla. Best tire I ever ran!
