'07 door wiring harness...broken?

So I may have made a terrible and rookie mistake, I'm hoping someone has a fix for this:

I was attempting to disconnect the wiring harness for the drivers side door, and I ended up breaking the tab on the harness that releases it. It's a little plastic tab, and now I can't figure out a way to release the harness. Have I done the unthinkable and prevented myself from being able to take the doors off?

There are websites that sell OEM connectors- can't remember the name of one I use for Mopar off the top of my head, but if need be, cut the connector out, buy a new connector, and solder it back in- maybe $20 for a bonehead move Mark W.

That's what I was suspecting I'd have to do...going to try to find a way to fix it myself tho. Worst case scenario is I wreck it more and have to go out and buy something I'd have to in the first place!

Can you not just push in where the tab would push it with a small screwdriver?

Did you break the Red Lock Tab on the Upper Right, or the Black Release Tab just above my thumb?

The Red Tab is the Lock Tab. You'd have to Unlock this first. If it's NOT the one broken, just slide it about 1/16th of an inch to the right, until you hear a click. Now, if the Black Release Tab is indeed the one you broke, do as InfernoGirl mentioned, and try a screwdriver, and press down where the Black Release Tab would have been.

Let us know how things work out!

Best of Luck!

Cheers!

BB

Yes that pic was outstanding. Thank you very much!

I broke the black release tab...I'll try the screwdriver fix.

Thanks again for all your help!
