07 gearshift knob question

hello.. just got a set of billet knobs as a gift, wondering what the correct procedure is to remove the factory knobs without damage to them. please advise and thanks.

Try reading through this thread. There is a link to another thread in that one as well. Bottom line, they is meant to go on but not taken off. Good luck getting it off in one piece.

Auto or manual im assuming manual i just removed mine the other day .i would put it like fourth gear and with quick upward pulls it CAN be removed if that doesnt work protect the shaft with a towel or rag put a wrench under neath hit it upwards a few time youll see it move a little and then try pulling up again .you dont have to cut or saw to get it off i have 2010 and got it off in about five mins good luck
