cycle the key on and off 3 times and it will tell you the code. you can look the code up in google.
while pressing the key inwards, do this quickly:

1. key off position
2. turn key to on position (not start)
3. key off position
4. turn key to on position (not start)
5. key off position
6. turn key to on position (not start) wait for the code.

^Like Blastek suggested or stop by your friendly local auto parts store and get have them pull the code(s) with their scanner.

Based on having a similar thing in my gmc envoy could be a misfire on a cylinder. The flashing could mean excessive heating of the catalytic converter. Quit driving it and get it to a shop asap!
