07 jku in my sights

Hello!,
I'm a Newbie to Jeep Talk, not wrenching. I've been into car's/trucks 20+yr's never owning but always admiring Jeep Wrangler's.

I'm in the Market for a used Jeep and found a Rescue Green soft top 3.8 6spd with a lift(don't know who's) Aftermarket wheels and Nitto Grappler's it has a 2 yr old best top and half door's with relocated sideview's and ...the Kicker is............ 113500 miles on it

Clean Carfax, And shows 2 owner's who took it to dealer for regular oil changes and maintanace.

However NO info on a clutch change in Carfax? Do these things hold together for 100K plus or do I need to budget for a new one in near future?

I drove it and it feel's ok.
I'm taking it to Buddies Garage to put it on the lift and give it a once over before I make an offer to the Sales Guy.
Anything I need to look for?
I found the front axle seal on pass side is leaking little. Someone did do all for front ball joint's already.

Looking for the common problems you all see on these JKU's everyday on here, electrical issue's , Brake issue's , Power train issue's , Rear problem's? Anything would be helpful in my Hunt for a Good Used Jeep

Looks good. Has the right options ( half doors). It's good that you have a friend in the know how. What are you wanting to pay for it? Tires look a bit low on the tread, could be the lighting.

Well I took it to friends shop and found almost nothing wrong with it, front axle seal was only real leak. Tires have about 7k on them looking at Carfax. I made an offer of 17K out the door, they didnt budge so I walked

Anyone think Im crazy here? I can see clutch was never done(nothing on Carfax) little clip holding starter heat sheild on is rusted in place on stud so Im thinking its going to need one sooner then later and the front axle seal is $400-500 for the shop to replace (est) I explained to sales guy all that and how KBB and other sites list it @$15500.00 retail in excellent condition and he told me they couldnt do my deal

How much did they want for it? An 07 with that many miles, you made a good offer. I would not pay much more than what you offered. More will come up If funds allow, you may want to look at a certified pre-owned. I got my 09 back in March 2011 certified with 32k miles for 19.5k. It was pretty stock, but i have modded it as funds allow. A 2012 has the better engine 3.6 than the 3.8, and gas milage is better and some better options (downhill assist). Most mods should not really influence sale price as many of us on here have learned. Hold out, good things come to those who wait

Thought your offer was good. Maybe they have another interested party. I agree with Neral, hold out. Some people end up ditching their jeeps for a more refined ride.

Awesome! Glad it worked out for you.

I'm in almost the exact same boat. I want a used '07 or '08 JKU for under $18k. The only ones I am seeing in that price range have 80,000+ miles.
