Considering changing the stock radio to a system with navagation. The jeep now has the small nav. on the top of dash. Would like to have a larger screen. Looking for some input on if dash nav. would be removed totally to install a new unit. Preference on brands?

I wanted to do the same thing so I got this JVC system and then figured out I needed speakers that then made me get an amp. Then I had to get a backup camera. I probably got $1000-$1200 in mine. Is that what you are looking to do?

Have a pioneer avic z3 unit in the xb. The unit is about 3 years old now. Still an amazing unit. Recently added the back up camera. It's a double din size and will fit jeep well

You will not go wrong with pioneer, alpine, clarion, or eclipse. I think pioneer was one of the first to start doing after market applications for GPS/DVD.

Like someone just mentioned, it can be pricey. I think that 1200 is a conservative estimate. Not sure on what the units cost now. I'm thinking a reasonable estimate on all work done could run you 300-500 for parts and labor plus unit cost extra.

Going to make some calls tomorrow and see whats available somewhat locally. I know from past experiences that this triggers off possible amps, speakers, subwoofer, etc. Never ends, but all good!
