STopped to look at a Rubicon JKU tonight for my wife. Crawled under her and there were no sway bar disconnects.. The dealership was closed so I couldn't "legally" get into it. Did 09s have electronic sway bar disconnects??? I was under the impression all Rubys did.

Rubys don't use disconnects--

It's a two piece swaybar and electrically disconnected inside the swaybar motor/gearbox-

OHOH, could be, although sometimes, when a ruby owner wipes out the E-DISCO gearbox--

They replaceit with a stocker, cause the new E-DISCO cost in excess of $1800 bucks--

Although there are--"THOSE" that will put Ruby atickers on their NON-Ruby jeep --

Uh-oh, yep. As far as I know, all JK Rubis have a powered disconnect for the sway bar that sits right in the middle of the bar. The switch for it--along with the switches for the lockers--should be right in front of the stick shift. Would be very interesting to see how the dealership responds to this . . . .

I'm thinking a few k less in price *wink. That is if it's not a Ruby.. If it is I'd still be happy with the lockers, I doubt the wife will, or let me do serious off road with it. Just family trips to the "property" which can get muddy..

Take a look at the front axle differential. It should be the same shape as the rear.

And--I've never actually looked at one--but I'd expect you could also see the wires to the lockers . . .
