About ready to pull the trigger on new wheels and tires. Anyone care to share pictures on there 10" wide wheels with maybe 35's? Want to get a idea on how far some stick out and with what backspace your running.

Thank you

If you haven't ordered already you should think about going a little bit skinnier. When you air down your tires, it'll be harder to break the seal if they are skinnier

Might I suggest backspacing of 1", max?

And Rotopax cans so on trips to the grocery store you can refuel.

Your gonna need a lot bigger lift than that 2.5"er you have. Definitely a re-gear. Maybe stiffen your axles up, the list goes of for a tire that big......

Just warning you lol.

Why such a wide tire? Those are going to stick out atleast 4" more than your stock tires.

I was afraid someone was going to ask that. I bought it back in September when I was at the dealership looking for a new Wrangler. It was already lifted with the larger tires.
All I know about the rims are that they are 17" and made bt Pro Comp. Because I'm looking to replace the tires with Dura Tracks I had them measured and found out they are 9 1/2 wide.
I just thought I'd post the pics for the OP since he wanted to see wide wheels. I'm not sure of the BS or anything else, sorry.

Hmm They look like Procomp 7089's. Looked on their website and in our bolt pattern in a 17" they are only made in 17x8 with -0mm offset/4.5" BS or 17x9 with -6mm offset/4.75 BS. So im guessing you got the 17x9's with 4.75 BS if they are 7089's

10 inch wheels with 5" backspace. They don't stick out that much. I like that look better - tires that stick out a bit.

Johnnykuta what about a 10" wheel with 4.5" backspacing? Will that rub anywhere?

Jeepforever :
Your profile lists you have 20 x 10 KMC's. Any chance posting pictures of how far they stick out? Or are you having issue with them and thats why your looking?

Johnnykuta:
I see you have Fuel Hostage wheels? That looks very good to me!! On their site they list them in 5" or 4.5" backspace. Was there a reason you went with the 5" instead of the 4.5"

Well I have the km2s which are undersized to begin with. They measured 32.3 inch on an 8in wheel at 35 psi whenever I put the 10in wheel on it pulled the sidewalls out more and then they measured 31.8 after the 10 inch wheel. I hope some of that made sence.... I like the km2s but I will not be buying them again because they are undersized

Killerbee812: I sold that jeep and I'm building a new one. That one had 37" nittos with 20" XD cranks. This one will have 38" toyos with 18" rims and I was wondering if the 18x10" rims an the 38x15" tires will rub at all. The rims bs is 4.5" an I have all of the other correct aspects just wanted to know if it'll rub

I understand what your saying. The width pushed the sidewalls out and made the tire wider and shorter

What was the back space on your XD's? Seems your new setup will be very similer but 38's instead of the 37's. Any pictures of your old ride?

A 4.5" backspace shouldn't rub - I got a 5" bs wheel as I wanted it to stick out a bit more.

However if you put a 15" wide wheel on, it may rub. I have a 13" wide and it's fine.

Maybe someone else here has 15" wide tire, but I haven't seen any - that is crazy wide.
