10A Rubicon Wiper Blades

Why are the wiper blades on my 10A Rubicon Unlimited different than the ones on 2012 Rubicon Unlimited that I got rid of? The 2012 had the solid type blades and seemed to work much better. The 10A has the the open metal type. First post btw, please let me know if I did something wrong.

The 2012 was probably a winter blade hence the rubber shell to prevent being filled with ice and stuck to the jeep and the 10A's are just normal anytime wipers. You also don't have to put the same wipers back on as the ones you take off.

They actually looked more like Rain-X Latitudes than the winter blades you describe with the rubber around them.

I just replace my 2013 Sahara blades with rain-x latitudes. The 16" latitudes are perfect for the JKU.

Any quality 16" blade will fit perfect and look great even though the oem blades are 15". I've had the 16" Bosch Evolutions on for a few years now.

I think I will be making the switch to the latitudes.

I spent way too long this weekend looking for decent 15" wipers. Glad to know this, thanks!

I have the rain x wipers on my van. They started out okay, but after about two months they started leaving a film on my glass that makes it really hard to see through in the rain. I wouldn't recommend them and I won't buy them again.

Maybe it's too hot for them in Florida, or maybe I just got a bad set. Just thought I'd pass on my experience with them.

I'll second the Bosch Evolutions.

I had them on my last vehicle for 2 solid years in Mississauga, Canada and they never missed a beat. Rain, snow, ice and whatever that crud is they spray the roads with during the winter, they were the best all around of any wipers that I've ever owned, and they last a very long time even with that much abuse.

When I get tired of the factory blades (It rarely rains here in SoCal and I've only used them to clear the "June Gloom" off the windshield in the mornings for the last month or so) I'll be buying another set of the Bosch's.

Bosch model 416, best blades I've tried.
