10A spring discussion

So I'm trying to buy 10a springs for my 13 JKUR with tow package and I ran into some trouble, finding the correct 10a part numbers as Chrysler seems to have put different ones on.
The ones I purchased are from a 10A 4 door hard top with a tow package:
68196006AA - front
68196009AA - rear
There is another set that are from a 10A 4 door soft top, unknown tow pack:
68196005AA - front
68024461AA - rear

Is there a difference in the strength of the springs? Is it because of the soft top that the numbers are different or maybe lack of a tow package? This would be a good conversation for the spring guys to weigh in on as this topic is heavily debated on the 10a forum...

To add to the discussion, I have a 2-dr soft top:

17AC (F)
58AA (R)

To add to the info, I just bought 10A springs & shocks to put on my Sport. They're from an Unlimited with hard top and max tow, and the part numbers are:
68196006AA - front
68024461AA - rear

And my JK 10A is:

Front: 52126317AC
Rear: 68196007AA

I have no idea what this means.

Has anyone measured the springs off the 10a? I just got my delivery today and the fronts (uncompressed) are 19".. I just want to make sure these are actually off a 10a... Do you think maybe the 19 in 6819 is the length of the front and the 68 is the hardness of the rear?

I just put -60 rears on (last two numbers not from a 10A) on mine and they measured 14.5" which were just slightly longer then the -58's they replaced.

Just do a teraflex 2.5. It's just .5 inch taller than the rubicon 10th jkur springs.

The length of the spring is a small part in the height you will gain. My friend just install a 2,5" Teraflex lift on his 2013 JK Unlimited and the Teraflex springs was only 0,5" Taler than the 19 he had on his Jeep, but is is now just over 2,5" taler. Just saying.

If the last two digits are spring rate, then how does this make sense? I'm missing something.

I'm thinking (and just thinking) the 6819 is the anniversary addition front and rear as a unit. I think the 19 is the length of the front and the 68 is the poundage the rear springs can handle ... 6800 pounds with towing?

Jstraw,
Did you, or do you plan on putting the 10a kit on your JKUR? I'm in the same boat... Been searching this subject everywhere and have yet to see any photos on a JKU.

Did you use the 10a shocks as well? Any modifications or just stock with spacers? What spacers?

Did that affect any other suspension geometries?

Yes, I have the springs and shocks, I need a bigger air compressor so it'll have to wait until the end of August. I also read the front 10a springs started to sag so they started using stock rubicon rears to give the "level" illusion... There have been many other theories floating around about that problem, but the front sagging after time seems more plausible to me.

Are the shocks any different on the 10a? Haven't seen anything about them.

I haven't read about the 10a front sagging but have seen all kinds of weird combinations of the new and old rubicon coils.

I might get mine on before you do. Ill shoot you a link to the thread whenever I get around to doing it. I plan on just putting on the 10a kit for a bit and seeing what happens before I introduce anything else into the picture.

You doing the sway bar links and anything else as well?

I don't know, I didn't do any research to see if the 10a's were different... I don't think they are

I plan on doing the same thing as soon as I can get some garage time in. I got shocks and end links with mine but not sure whether the end links are the same as my JKU Sport yet. Ill post up results once I have them. Right now I'm on 17s and 58s.

I got front and rear shocks and coils as well, plus front end links in case they were different from mine. Turns out the end links were exactly the same as mine.
