It's powder coated steel which matches nicely and it reuses your factory brake light and wiring, so no need to source anything.

Believe it or not those are 285/70 - 17's. The Dick Cepek fun country actually measures an inch taller than their 33x 12.50 in the same type. They are a full 33" tall. Most 35's come in at an actual 34" tall. So only an inch difference height wise.

The whole set up is a hybrid put together by Northridge 4x4, myself and a few other suppliers. This is the same as the Mopar stage 3 kit, but by working through Northridge and with a Teraflex engineer we put it together. It's a short arm pre-runner kit, but unlike the Mopar kit i have 8 adjustable control arms. I knew I wouldn't want any larger tire for ingress/egress reasons. For this reason I didn't want the full 3 inches of the pre-runner kit.

To accomodate this without compromising the function of the kit, Teraflex shipped 2 door springs rather than 4 door units. So the 2 door, 3- inch springs will give slightly less height yet perform as intended. I really love how the combo is working out, it's the exact look I wanted. Also the 285's will clear under full articulation without going higher or using flat fenders, which I worried 35's would cause.

I added JKS adjustable track bars front and rear along with the Northridge bolt kit. This was for qaulity and adjustability to get the axles solidly mounted and positioned properly. I also used the Artec raised brackets for the front and rear track bar to maintain the proper roll center. The Artec armor and gussets are for strength.

I'm looking for bulletproof (or close) speed and reliability on back roads, fire roads and back country trails in Wyoming, Montana and colorado when out in that area. Also around home where possible. I like keeping it as low as possible due to entry/exit as well as less drag and better tracking while in tow behind the motorhome.

With my old XJ anything over 5-8 MPH on these trails out west and my head was bouncing off the roof like a ping-pong ball. I told Teraflex I wanted to eliminate this problem on the JK. It needed to be a plush yet controlled ride with speed of 30 mph in the same situations. This was the suggestion they shipped. Northridge took care of the track bars and bolts. Qaufdratec supplied the wheels and tires. Krawl off-road supplied a few items also.

Customer sevice from Teraflex, Northridge, qaudratec and krawl has been nothing short of excellent on all accounts.
Well again... Love it.
Got more pics from side, angle and front?
Those tires do look like 35's lol
Amazing.
Are they MT or AT?

Thanks! It's hard to get a good shot with it in the shop on the lift. As soon as I get the small parts in Tommorrow and get it aligned next week, there will be some comparison shots from all angles. I took photos when I brought it home to compare with. The tires are actually a cross between an A/t and M/T.

Pics next week!

I did some work over the weekend. I installed clear turn signals in the grill and clear side marker lights. I replaced the factory speakers in the dash and sound bar with Infinity Kappa 629i speakers. I installed the Mopar hood lock in the grill that self-keys to the ignition key. I removed the hard top to take out the soft top (dual top group). I installed Safari Straps and Body Armor Trail Doors. Since I already have 5 cars in my 3 car garage the Jeep stayed in the driveway so I used the Bestop Trail Cover the keep the condensate out over night. It was a blast to drive the Jeep so open!!

Can one install the Mopar hood lock in conjunction with a grill guard like the Metalcrafter version?

Still debating whether to get a lift and go to larger tires immediately or stay with the stock setup for a while.

Yes you can, but you have to use a Dremel to cut out a small opening in the grill insert in order to access the hood lock. There was a thread on here where numerous people described how to do it.

I have the Mopar hood lock installed on mine, and I am planning a grill guard insert in a few weeks.

Here is the thread that shows how people did it.

I went with the locking hood catches by Rampage and the Metalcrafters grill insert. cutting that beautiful grill insert would have been a shame.

They're labeled as an all terrain. I've used them on a few trucks in the past and was very pleased with the performance in all conditions.

The design actually comes from the old Armstrong tire (which is now defunct) Norseman. This tire was rebranded for Dick Cepek with a few minor changes. When Armstrong went out of business, Dick Cepek continued with the tire. I'm not sure if they manufacture it or sub that out to another tire manufacturer. I've ran both the Armstrong and Cepek versions and was happy with both.

The design has been around since the late 70's. It was made into a radial as opposed to the old bias version in the late 80's.

I am newbie here so I apologize in advance if this is not the correct thread for this. With all these mods on 10A, are you selling your take off parts and if so, what thread would I find them?

this is what my 10 a will look like once the winch is installed. I am waiting on jeep to make a winch plate for the 10a. in this pic winch is just sitting in bumper. I added 34 x12.50 tires on to rudged ridge 17" x9" wheels with the rim protectors. i added the light bar and 2 kc lights I added the grill stainless steel black inserts , a fire extinguisher with roll bar holder, first aid kit cargo netting rugged ridge back seat floor mats , bug deflector ,window vents and a few other little things. Tomorrow will be a month I had my 10a

I know this is hardly a "mod" but anyone consider something like this?

Looks like a pretty incredible thing to have on the trails.

Thanks all! Caveman: I have the Metalcrafter inbound along with the Rugged Ridge latches. However I've heard several folks having issues getting the RR latches to fit properly. Debating whether to just try and see if I can get them to work or replacing with alternates - possibly the Rampages.

Love it! Where did you source the light bar and how is it mounted to the 10A bumper?

I don't want to take a chance on it not being "highly" visible (pun intended) to buses and large trucks while on the interstate. I'm also using a tow harness which activates the CHMSL while in tow. For these reasons I used the Rugged Ridge adjustable mount for the third brake light.
This is my current and likely temporary solution until I decide on an extension. I didn't want to cut the factory brake light extension since I don't know what after market extension I am getting. I might flip the mounting plate over and add a bungee or make some other tweaks to secure it since I will have it like this for at least a few weeks.

New tires on today! 285/75r17 Toyo Open Country AT2s. I wanted an all terrain for the family and was a little sad to take off the KM2s as those are some nice treads, but I am very pleased with the new look and ride. They measure out between 33 and 33.25 at 43psi, which is where the tire shop filled them. Before and after:

Leather seats are nothing new. I'd be shocked if they didn't hold up well, especially on a premium package like this.
