Here's how I replaced it. Blue painters tape to make sure I correctly aligned the new one as I replaced it. Used fishing line to 'saw' off each letter of the old logo. Removed the old adhesive, then applied the self-stick letters, one at a time.

Thanks for taking the pictures, very helpful and very much appreciated. Any idea what your actual tire diameter is? I put GY MT/R Kevlar 305/70r17 which are 34.1" tall. The tire calculator I checked showed that both sizes are the same height, but I know better. I'm fairly certain I can fit the bottom setting, I should lock a bolt in there and just try it.

Love it. Got a close up?

Edit....saw the above. Thanks

My spare is not measuring above 33.5" tall. As for width, you will not like the contact with the carrier before you get the spacer. You're tire is about a half inch wider than mine and I can't wait to get the spacer.

I posted this in the 10A thread as well. Might get some attention here:

Anyone have a chance to remove the winch cover and see if the vacuum pump would get in the way of a winch plate? I assume the 10A vacuum pump is located in the same place as other 2013 Rubicons? The reason for the vacuum pump relocation kits on 2012-2013 JK's is because it gets in the way of winch plates.

________________
Yes the vacuum pump is in the same location as all other wranglers. It will have to be relocated for a winch. You can cut the bracket and rotate it 90 degrees and mount it to the back of your fabbed winch plate or use a relocation kit. I'll be fabbing the bracket to my plate, as most of the relocation kits put it where a Spod usually goes, and I'm installing the Spod also.

Winch question:

I have the opportunity to get a warn XD9000i portable version, that has the hitch mount plate for even swap for a trailer I need to get rid of.

Can I remove the winch for the hitch plate and drop it in the 10a bumper without alts other than the vacuum mount that is always required (assuming jeep comes out with the winch mounting plate)?

Saw that - how does it work? I am getting a JKU soon, have 3 kids, so that center seat is kind of important.

It's an easy insert and zip tie solution, and works well. They have install instructions on their site. If you are a fab person it can be DIY (I think MC may even have dimensions on their site), but for me it was an easy, well done, plug and play solution.

Have these on order also. was debating on getting the smaller ones for the loop also but decided against it.

Looks great BD! Dealer didn't even know the black logo was available for general ordering so I still need to get that.

Are you using the third brake light mount that came with it? I really don't like that part. I'm thinking I will put the round lights that go in the other two holes in the wheel.

Put on my Strattec spare tire lock. Nice and convenient piece that prevents theft and isn't vulnerable like mcgard locks.

Yep - I am just using the TF bracket with the factory brake arm (didn't feel like cutting it until I know what my permanent solution will be). It isn't pretty but it gets the job done for now.

It is the stock one removed from the stock mount and screwed onto the Teraflex mount.

The light and arm are factory - it would already be attached behind your tire in stock form. You can get to it when you remove the stock tire carrier. I screwed the factory brake light arm to the top of the TF brake light mounting plate that comes with the TF adjustable tire carrier. The TF plate is visible below the factor arm in my pic. TF might sell this single part separately from the rest of the kit if you wanted one. TF recommends cutting the factory arm just below the light and then mounting the light to the plate - in that case the light would sit in the middle of the tire rather than near the top of the tire where mine is. I am still deciding what route I want to take, but this is working fine for me right now.

Think he spotted the passenger side LED taillight in jdwallsy's image. I think it might be the Recon?

Ahhhhh yes - that photo was midway through swapping the Recon tail lights last weekend. Love the looks but does not work out of the box. The power draw is too low - I get an EVIC left blinker out error message and no turn signal. I have a couple of aluminum housed resistors on the way. After that I need to figure out which wire feeds the brake/blinker. I wish it would have been easier. Recon customer service was okay - fast communication when they thought it could be a product defect but no help after we figured out the light was functional. e.g, no wiring instructions, no offer to send or even sell resistors.

Well that sucks. Disappointing. Had to do resistors in the Recon front turns too. BTW, I believe RadioShack carries them. The IPCW tails were plug and play, once I realized I'd blown a fuse somehow on the passenger side circuit. Hope you get them working. They were my #2 choice.

Hi all,
Has anyone experienced the freedom tops being misaligned? My driver's side top is about 3/8 of an inch out of alignment to the rear when viewed from standing atop the rock rails. I thought it was from over-tightening the screw-in plastic bolt but they sit that way. Any ideas on resolving this? Would prefer to get it fixed now vs. find out there is a leak during a rain shower...

I'm going to be using the anzo led light all the way around. The taillights have the resistor hooked up already and the front turn signals come with them to be wired in.

I don't understand how these lighting companies can put all the money they do into R&D to design a light, only to never hook it up to see if it works with factory wiring.

Had the NavTV installed - this one I did not do myself. I went to a local Al & Eds - the guy there is very cool and he has a JKU on 37s. His rig made my 10a look small. I felt like a stock sport next to his!

The NavTV is plug and play but camera location is the big choice. I bought a hitch cover and lock - I experimented with red plasti-dip but ultimately went with black - and an Alpine camera. I didn't do the license plate cam because I wanted it centered. I didn't do the spare tire cam mount because I felt the view to be a little too high for parking/children. Anyway - works great - NAV, Cam and DVD are accessible while driving.
