Couple more pictures, as I said, nothing unusual or an eye sore. Sub box is actually pretty stealthy, especially with the stock box still in there.

Replacement hard too still in route, so going to try the soft top until then on my 10A.
I have three towels I bought for the side windows. Layer the towel, window, towel, window, towel. I then roll that up and put it in the back. I take two more and roll up the back window. That way they are not folder and have soft towels to protect them.

What did you use for tow bar attachment?

I've tried Blue Ox, Roadmaster and Currie but no luck with any of them for a 10A

QUOTE=parker65;3733094]For those who ill be recreational towing their 10A behind a motorhome. Mopar offers a wiring harness, part# 82211156AB. This plugs in line with the body computer to operate the lights, etc. via the motorhome's 7 way plug. It's listed for $178.00, but can be found cheaper pecking around E-bay and the internet.

According to the kits instructions, which are only pictures, The plug is located just under the upper front portion of the carpet on the passenger side. On the 12 and 13 models there is a plug there, but it's the wrong one. You must look further up the harness, under the dash to locate the correct connector.

I thought the harness might have changed for the 10A when I had the wrong connector in this location. Called Mopar, and the guy on the other end was the most mechanically clueless person I've ever spoken with to be in a tech support position. Then I called Just for Jeeps, which is where I purchased the harness, and they had ran in to this 2 other times and told me where to look and that the instructions were wrong on the plugs position.

Just a helpful hint for anyone else going this route. The Cool Tech harness is a very popular choice, but is only about $40 cheaper, and doesn't operate the CHMSL when in tow. The Mopar harness does operate the CHMSL via the umbilical, the same as the other lights. In it's crazy way of engineering, Jeep decided to give the CHMSL it's own seperate circuit and fuse, so it's not tied to the other brake lights other than at the switch on the pedal.[/QUOTE]

Looking at a Tuffy center console security box. Also finally changed the hard top out and installed soft top. Now I just have to figure out how to remove the soft top next week when my new hard top arrives! And do it all over again!

Molle Panel install

Ordered and installed the Molle panel on the rear tailgate (Purchases here: JK Tailgate Fold Down Style MOLLE Panel | eBay). Alan will customize the text for you and color it for an additional $5.

Install items:

1) The 2 top holes and the bottom right hole is thicker than the bottom left hole.

2) The supplied stainless lag screws are soft and i borken off all of the heads so I went out and bought new bolts for the install

3) Buy and place a small pad (I used some adhesive hard floor cushions) and place it on the back side of the mounting brackets. This will eliminate any metal on metal markings/grinding

4) I plasti-dipped the pin and rings (not the whole pin) to eilminiate the pinging of the rings while driving

I'd give it a 4 out fo 5. The quality of the work was good, shipping was fast. Besides new hardware and the additional items reccomended, quality item to have in the Jeep.

Finn, looking good!

Oh and decided to mount my garage door opener in the rollbar padding. When mounted low in the dash, even 5 feet away from the garage, my jeep made too much interference. Now it works like a regular remote. Thanks the bad dog for the heads up

It comes with very detailed instructions with great pictures of every step. I found it to be easier than expected. Had to trim out about a cm square in two places on the moulding above the mirror where the mount for the switches go but used a small set of very sharp wire nippers and it worked sweet. I'll post some pictures of the install. Also the first thing I hooked to it, the hideaway flashers for fire cals.

Blue Ox will have something shortly. They have a 10A scheduled for fitment the first week of June. Call Blue Ox and ask to speak with Carla or Jeremy. They will keep you updated and put you on the list to have one shipped as soon as they are available.

Anybody working on adding a bull bar or stinger to the new bumpers? Thinking of fab'n a bull bar once the winch gets here and eventually get a stinger once I get all the matching mods (big lift, flat flares, etc) but enjoying the stock look for now, or untill I rip a fender flare off

You just email Alan and tell him what you want - when he confirms then just pay through eBay/PayPal and drop him a note that you paid.

Got his email?
Cause his account, from what I see doesn't accept questions or communication from customers outside of the US
Ready to buy too

I'm stumped on that one - I contacted him through his eBay account - Finn, did you get his email address?

I also installed my WD handles this past Sunday but had issues getting the front handles installed. I called Ken (WD CEO) and to my surprise he answered immediately (great customer service on a Sunday afternoon!). He told me that there were reports of several JKs having similar issues where the horizontal bolt holes in the frame don't align perfectly with the handles. He said that one of his dealers said that they had a guy's JK in the shop and tried 4 different handle sets and had the same alignment issue (even though the handles worked perfectly in the vast majority of cases). Ken's suggestion to me was to slightly loosen the horizontal spacer bolt and manually adjust it so it lined up with the allen bolt through the handle. The vertical spacer bolt was fully tightened with the vertical allen bolt loosely threaded to just hold onto the handle. Hope this makes sense...

Total PITA trying to do this while trying to screw in the allen bolt and hold the handle at just the right angle at the same time (not helped by being outside in the hot sun!) but I managed to get both fronts up and running.

Just a heads-up - hope none of you have this issue! Fantastic product and the best customer service! Will definitely order from Ken again as they build out their product line.

My 10a is at a fab shop getting a lift installed and they are supposed to mount my blue ox baseplate from my 08 on. I'm picking it up today and will let you know if they were successful. When I dropped it off yesterday, we were looking at it and the metal plate underneath the bumper will definitely have to be removed to install it.

This is what I did for the front handles:

1. Put some blue loctite on the spacer threads then I tightened both top and side spacers pretty tight.
2. Took the top hex bolt, added some loctite again and affixed the appropriate grab handle, threaded enough where vertically the hole for the side spacer lined up.
3. Pulled the grab handle to align the side hole of the grab handle to the hole to the side spacer.
4. Threaded the side spacer hex bolt (more loctite) about a half way.
5. Alternating the tightening of top and sides hex bolts until they were pretty snug.
-Repeat for passenger side-

With this method, there is no gap in between the spacer and grab handle and are rock solid. The side spacer is not parallel but angles downward but both handles are ROCK SOLID.

Yep - that is the standard process that I discussed with Ken except for the loctite part (was that just for insurance or are you concerned with them loosening up?).

However for me the horizontal spacer was about 1/2 inch out of alignment with the grab handle hole, forcing me to push/pull while trying to thread the hex bolt into it. I then alternated on tightening both hex bolts until they were snug. Handles are solid enough to easily rock the Jeep. But now you have me worrying about the loctite thing...
