Thanks Joe (@Maximus-3) for your great customer service. Installed just in time for the Ouray, CO and Moab, UT trip!

Looks great! Did you relocate the pump. Or did the winch fit ? I have a VR 10K I need to squeeze in mine somehow

I purchased the relocation bracket just in case I needed it, however it was not required. It did mean that I had to center it and center the fairlead otherwise the winch would not fit. In the end, it is a tight fit, but works great.

Cool thanks

So on the fair lead you had to hole saw the passenger side to center?

Correct. A hole saw and a multi-max Dremel did the trick very nicely and it looks pretty normal underneath the centering plate. Used some black truck bedliner spray paint to keep cut areas from rusting. Given the lack of any extra room, you can't fit a winch cover over the winch as it just doesn't fit down inside the bumper. On the flip side, there is no way someone is going to walk away with the winch as they would have to take the entire bumper off to get it out. I did see a few pictures of someone who had a WARN winch in a "stealth" configuration where it was mounted sideways, allowing the winch spot cover plate normally on the 10A bumper to be reinstalled. Might have been earlier in this thread. That looked pretty slick as well tbh. Either way, I like the XRC as it has red highlights on the box and strap that continue the red accents that came stock.

In the end, this is what has been purchased/installed so far:
- soft top storage boot,
- soft top window storage duffle,
- rear cargo liner
- Conceal carry storage drawer,
- 48" hi-lift Jack
- Hi-Jack Mount,
- MyGig Lockpick
- custom grips for automatic and 4WD controls,
- dash top console,
- CB radio
- 2.5" Rubicon Express Lift Kit (and 3/4" leveling kit)
- 35" Goodyear MT/R Kevlar Tires with Level 8 Rims
- XRC 10 ProComp Winch with synthetic line (and XRC Cover AND Rubicon fairlead black)
- Maximus-3.com 10A Bumper Winch Plate
- deflator guage
- Cameras for Lockpick (installed underneath but on top of skid plates)
- Tuffy Trunk (with optional rubber pad for the top)
- Mesh grille inserts
- AntennaX
- Teraflex HD Hinged Tire Carrier, 3rd brake light extender

Future plans include: Upgraded Headlights, Light Bar, Stinger or Loop on front bumper, armor for head/tail lights, and some additional armor underneath. The reason they are future...I got cutoff by the "Boss".

Anyone put a warm power plant on there 10a yet? Wondering how it will look and how much it sticks up over the bumper

Well, I guess this qualifies as a mod. Did my DIY grab-handles and I am pretty satisfied. I may stitch the paracord fasteners.

Materials:
-100' 550 Paracord (single-color)/ 2 packs 100' 550 Paracord (dual-colors)
-8 x 1/4" Anchor Shackles
-lighter

Dimensions:
-Paracord Fasteners: 41"
-Grab-Handle Core: 50" (makes about a 8" handle)
-King Cobra Stitch 18' of paracord (single-color)/ 2 x 9' cords singed together (dual-colors)

Used this thread as reference:
Paracord Grab handles ~ how to make your own.
(my dimensions are different than his.. mine seem to work fine)

I used this video to learn the King Cobra Stitch (little dude is annoying)

Hoop options?

Does anyone know of any other hoop options for the 10A bumper? And is a bolt-on hoop like this strong enough to give any protection or is it mainly cosmetic?

Anyone doing anything with skid plates on their 10A's?

I'm looking at a set from River Raider - http://www.riverraider.com/store/ind...te=common/home

They're close to where I live and could do the install plus they can powder coat the skids red - anyone used these guys before?

How "safe" are these? Didn't Jeep stop putting skid plates on the wrangler and replaced them with tubing due to a fire hazard?

I have the River Raider steel, but still pending time to install. On inspection, they are nice and solid, well-fabbed. An owner on the FB page did the aluminum, and aside from some slight adjustment, said it was straightforward. As for fire hazard, I imagine it might be if they got loaded up with brush, but otherwise can't imagine how. Jeep does put skids on, but they are thin sheet metal, and won't protect you if you drop on any good rocks or similar. Much rather be protected. As for Red, that's A LOT of Red if you go that route! I'm happy with stealth black. Once I have them hooked up, I will post pics. If you go to RR's page, they link to a nice write-up/review on another forum. It ultimately is what sold me.

"]Hello 10a world!

Pulled the trigger today! Wow I'm happy!
All black 10a fully loaded!

I'm looking to do Mods right away and could really use your help!
Looking to take this process on armed with knowledge!
I'm in Brooklyn NY not much off roading but we got some potholes and speed bumbs that will rock you.

With that's said mods are for my own pleasure and look!
Hood looks incredible!

I'm driving a H3 hummer with 20 rims 275/60r/20
I am and was happy with it but time to move on!
Selling it if any one is or knows someone who is interested?

Ok mods
Aev 2.5 lift why? don't want to climb any more! Ha but need some jacked up power! Also I'm under the impression that 10a won't need to be reprogrammed?
Does This lift needs some extra brackets?
O.. Magna flow dual exhaust!
Rims 18" why? bigger than 17 but not 20's advice here please
Tires? 33"s I like the aggressive look! Wider then fenders! But like all terrain tires. Help
Back space bolt pattern help?

Teraflex tire carrier? Input?

O my gig unlocked with camera drilled into back center bumper, one in front bumper? Apparently you can do this up to 3 cameras? Cool! I was told jeep has to program this? Any validity?

I'm going to sell the rock rails need a step up! Thinking smitybuilt with step up plates!

Thanks all,
NYEDC108

So, 10A owners who lifted with 35's, did you have to trim your rock rails? did your 10A come with a factory trimmed pinch seam?

I put the AEV 2.5 lift with GY 35s Kevlars no problems.

Finally got the lift and winch installed. If you are in SoCal I can highly recommend Chris Johnson at Rock Tech in La Habra - he came up with a solid mounting plate for the winch. AEV 2.5" lift.

JD... I'll have to check out Rock Tech. What lift did you install?

Nice setup.

Definitely! I will let you guys know about my planned trips but we should pick a date for a 10a meet up

"JD... I'll have to check out Rock Tech. What lift did you install?"

I went with the AEV 2.5" kit with geo brackets and bilstein 5100s. Great overlanding setup with the 34"s but it also would work with 35s.

Dog,

Still need to get our Jeeps together for a play date. Wish I could have made Rausch Creek, looked great! Did it help with your decision on the skids? Almost committed to a set of JW Speaker Headlights, but still scared until I see a set and compare.

I just sent a note to the River Raider folks about getting a set of aluminum before I saw your posts! Based in the pics, the aluminum sets do not require any painting or powder coating? Interesting, had assumed they are coated too?! The 10A underbelly just seems a bit vulnerable, how was she on your trip in PA?

Really interested to hear how your install goes - I've been looking at skids since our trip to Rausch Creek a few weeks ago - I didn't hit anything but really wanted to improve the protection under the vehicle after that trip

I started looking at River Raider after one of your posts

So you got them powder coated black? I sent them a note asking how the powder coating would hold up

Lol and yes - probably too much red as I look at them - let us know how your install goes - would love to see pics

I am heading up to Rausch in a few weeks for the 101 class; could not make the one in June that Bill organized.

If you all plan a group trip sometime in August or later, I would be interested.

Only thing that could potentially prevent me from going is the wife going into labor - she is due in early August.

No, haven't had it long enough or been in the right places to get it really hot, but slow driving in the Sierras or Eastern Oregon in the old TJ made for some pretty high engine compartment temps. Since we have this cool hood with "vents" I just expected them to be a bit more functional. I'm not really worried about the engine overheating so much, but the heat does start to soak into the cab and floor and can make a hot day in the desert feel even hotter.

Does anyone have a set of sPod install instructions for a 2013? For some reason they sent me instructions for 2007-2008 and I know it changed a bit based on the videos.
