Thanks, I figured it was the lite when I saw the OME shocks on the back. Thanks for the info.

Looks great! I would love to go Metalcloak 3.5 with 37's but I'm afraid it would just be impractical for my life with a short wife and little kids right now. Maybe down the road a bit.

Also, as you may be able to tell by my username, it looks like a lot of us STI drivers jumped ship onto the 10A. There are more then a couple I believe. I assume I'm reading your username correctly, right?

While I LOVED my STI I had to try something completely different. Couple trips top down, doors off along with a couple light wheeling trips it was obvious I made the right choice.

10th Anniversary Rubicon find

I am an auto consultant and I was going to Auto Mall in Daytona, middle of June, to do some research for a client, I happened to drive thru the Dodge Jeep store and saw a 10th Anniversary 4 door in Anvil with Red leather. I was actually waiting for the BMW X4 to come out next year, but when I saw this 10th Ann I went nuts. As soon as I got home I started doing research. Didn't want a 4 door, and Randy was not discounting vehicle at all, because he wanted it for himself. I found an Anvil 2 dr being built for Fields Chrysler Jeep Dodge in Sanford Fl. I connected with them put a $500. refundable deposit, on it. Around 2.5 weeks later and a lot of soul searching, I decided I really wanted it, it wasn't a late life crisis. I have been in Car business 33 yrs and have had prolly 80 cars. I took delivery July 6. Most important Fields was great they discounted the vehicle $1870. off sticker and sticker had NO ADDENDUM. I Hated the rubicon stock wheels and the nubbie tires so we took a set of 5 XD 18" wheels with Nitto All terraine Grapplers 275x70x18 off a Jeep on the showroom floor. Now it rides real smooth. I love this vehicle. Is it true only 5,000 were made?

Congrats on the 10A and yep just over 5K made. Someone posted like 5,400 or something. Rubicon X will likely look pretty similar to the 10A and Anvil paint is offered on the 2014's so it's not like there will only be 5000 Jeeps that look like ours. Don't blame them but those two moves were kind of irritating as it was advertised as limited edition... (until next year, was left out).

Same here. My wife is 5 feet tall and I have a 10 and 8 year old, so I'll let you know how that works out..

Yup, former Sti owner here. I had a 2010 stage 2+ and loved it. I went to the auto show with the wifey looking for a new SUV for her and decided to get a 10a for myself..couldn't be happier!

If I get the go fast bug I just jump on by bike.

Matt

Spent some time making updates last weekend - Rugged Ridge grill guard, cb with Ultramount with 4' firestick, reinstalled the Rigid Dually and D2 lights, ARB air compressor under the hood all connected to my Spod - also installed JW Speaker headlights - I love those - waiting for the JW Speaker fogs in August and want to pick up a full Spiderwebshade to cover the kids

Also installed the Maximus-3 winch plate and bull bar with my Superwinch Talon 9.5 - the Talon is just too big so I'm selling it and picking up a Zeon 10s to replace it

The Talon sits too high and too far forward - I picked up the light mounts from Maximus as well, but they won't fit with the Talon - hoping they fit with the Zeon

Getting my River Raider skid system in the next week as well - Jeep keeps getting more expensive

Doc - completely agree with you - I want to consider a lift eventually - but my kids are little - it's tough enough for them at this height so going to run stick for a while...

Please post a few pics of the River Raider skids. I have an installed quote from them and waiting for my wallet to cool a bit before pulling the trigger so your feedback would be great!

I don't have experience with the River Raider skids, but I do have experience with the TnT Customs aluminum skid system.

I had the TnT system installed on my 2012 JKUR (which was traded on the 10a anvil/red JKUR). Luckily I was able to get the TnT skids off my 2012 before the trade, so those skids are going on my 10a.

Here's the link for it: Jeep Wrangler JK 4 Door Unlimited : Modular Bellypan : Skid Plate : TnT

I chose TnT because they are made from 6061-T6 aluminum and are 1/4" thick.

Fuel Trophy Rims!!

Just ordered one rim to make sure they are my perfect choice. Threw it on the back just to get a good look against the Anvil paint... and I do love them!! Now I need to decide on which lift kit and what tires to get??
I'm leaning towards the Mopar/Terra Flex lift and KM2 37's...

Anyone do red brake calipers yet? I think it'd look great on a 10A!

If you are going 37s, you'll need a tire carrier that mounts to the frame, that gate will not hold that weight.
