Just installed The Magnaflo Dual Split rear exhaust. Sound great, a little deep resonace when starting off and in low gear and purrs quietly on the road. I didn't want Harley noises and the Youtube videos i listened too for sound had me sold on this one. Easy install only had to make a few adjustments as it was hitting off the bumper but now its set. Only one more mod to go and i am done.

Looks good, this is definitely on my list. So the noise levels at cruise are acceptable? I definitely don't want something that drones incessantly.

No at cruising you cant even hear it i was impressed and so was the wife. As soon as she saw it, her expectation was the loud rumble and i was driving with a bikin cover and wrap around for a soft top today, and she was amazed. Check out youtube for the Magnaflo on jeeps. Folks do an ok job showing the sound but most of them rev high in a stopped position so its more of a gage since you never go that high in RPM's

A couple of teaser pics from today's installation! First things first, a huge thank you to Joe at Maximus-3 for the installation! I was just his helper! This is a Warn Zeon 10-S, IPF 901XSD driving lights, and Maximus-3 winch plate, hoop, light and reinforcement brackets, and a lot of sweat! In the end we found an EASY way to install this big boy winch! Details tomorrow!!!

I do not have any fancy light vs distance measurements or even any "before and after" pictures, but I figured I would post up a couple pictures of the new lights, anyway.

First picture is the factory headlights with the PIAA 540 driving lights.
Second picture is the factory headlights with the Vision X Fogs.
Third picture is all three on.

The Vision X fog lights are pretty damn bright. My only point of comparison is the fact that I have been using the factory fogs the last four months every morning when I drive through unlit backroads and farmland on my way to work. They light up that area in front of the Jeep (and even a little further out) much better than the factory fogs did.

The PIAA 540 driving lights are also quite nice. I have only turned them on for driving a few times (when no one else was anywhere near me on the road) but they do make a nice compliment to the high beams.

As promised, here are pics of the Warn Zeon 10-s install. This is an awesome setup, but there is one trick that will make your installation much much easier. This winch barely fits, and getting the 4 inner bumper bolts torqued is a PITA! However, if you drill two 1-1/4 access holes in the bottom of the bumper to get access to the front winch bolts, it goes much much easier. The alternative is to drop in the winch after installing the bumper, which is tricky at best! So, here is he trick. Drill the access holes in the bumper (which also makes future servicing MUCH easier!). Then install the winch but DO NOT fully tighten the bolts! The winch will now slide slightly side to side, giving clearance for a socket! Install the bumper, torque all 8 bolts, then torque the 4 winch bolts. Trust me, when you need to replace your winch rope you will be glad that you did the install this way!!! Let me know if you have questions!

Nice stance! What light bar and mount did you go with? Could you give me a review on it.

It is a paramount light and mount, so far it has held up fine. I don't get to use it much but puts some light off when I do.

I don't know if there is room to install the reinforcement brackets without removing the bumper. Joe at Maximus-3 will know for sure, give him a call or email him at:

Ok I have a question. I keep hearing about the 10A model. Isn't it only cosmetic? Little higher springs, bumper etc. it's still a JK right? I don't mean to offend anyone I have a 2013 but not 10A so when I hear about all these 10a mods will they fit on a normal JK?

Thanks

Has anyone installed the JW Speaker 6145 fog lights yet on the 10A bumper? I know you need to splice them but do they fit with the stock brackets or do you need to modify them to make them fit?

I ended up using the 6145's. I took the mount that they come with off and just wrapped some foam tape around them to act as a guide and stabilize. Then got some spacers and longer bolts and used the stock mount and just bolted them up. They are more solid than the stock ones and really look great.
