There's a lot of folks on here that have ordered 10As. The waiting is the hardest part. To pass the time, lets hear what mods you're planning. Tires, wheels, lifts, winches, speakers, etc. Please share and keep in mind, everyone loves pictures, prices, and links.

The day I get mine I'm gonna give $3500 to this puerto rican guy at work who's really into cars and tell him to get me the dopest car audio that amount of money can buy! Lol true story. He's gonna havehis cousin install it (he does it professionally). I've heard his cousins system amd this guy knows what he's doing.

Serious huh, that's trusting but I know how that can go. If I knew someone that was waaaay ahead of me in knowledge in that area I would probably do the same but with less money and specify I would want the coolest tech not simply the loudest.

Maybe invest in a Top line Viper scrutiny system with dual stage proximity sensor and two way pager.

10A 4dr billet/red, these parts are already in the garage waiting.

Dick Cepek FC-II 285/70-17, 5 of them.
AEV pintler beadlocks, grey.
Teraflex pre-runner kit with Fox remote res. shocks.
Artec axle truss and gussets-full armor kit, front, Artec truss rear.
JKS adjustable track bars front & rear.
Teraflex tailgate hinge assembly.
Decideing about which winch until info comes out. If there is no special edition winch then it will probably be a Warn powerplant if that fits in the factory bumper cut out, if not then the 9.5.

That's about it until summer then I might be looking into some LED lighting.

I am in to home theater and Hi-fi 2 channel systems, and as such, I think the speaker placement in the JK is horrendous. I'm not sure you can get a "great" stereo system in a Jeep w/o repositioning the speakers.

You are going to put 3+ grand of audio equipment in a car that will have no top on it at times?

Never judge a person's financial worth or ability by age. Never!

I came out of high school in '82 as a certified mechanic making 15 per hr. I did this through hard work after school and gaining my certs as a teenager. A year later I went to work at an aircraft factory. Within 30 days I was the department leadman and within 45 days I was swing shift supervisor with a nice salary.

Age doesn't neccessarily put a person in the normal pigeon hole. It depends on the person, their circumstances and abilities within their chosen field.

I owned my own successful business by age 23. I've owned and operated several business profitably and sold them at a profit to get where I am today. Really makes me angry when people want to call me wealthy or say I don't understand what it's like to be poor or have it ruff. I worked HARD and LONG for what I've achieved in life.

Don't judge a person on their age, it's short sighted.

LOL, not at this time. I have managed to weather the economic storm since 2008 without laying off any employees, which I consider a pretty good thing! I even gave the entire crew a pay raise on Jan. 1rst for the third year in a row.

Not that it would apply to anyone here, but I have also known folks that have many VERY, VERY nice things. Two years later, they do not and they are broke. It's not hard to buy expensive stuff anymore, but it is difficult to keep it.

FWIW, my father was a self made millionaire at the age of 30 (certainly not as hard as it used to be) and to this day he has never spent more than $15K on a vehicle purchase

I'm only 21 myself but even I can speak somewhat proper. Never been a writing person. But seeing words like that makes me sad for the future of our beloved jeeps. Lol

Wow has this thread gone way off the OP topic of planned mods for your ordered 10A when it arrives.

I have the following mods planned upon arrival:

AEV 2.5" DualSport XT suspension lift
AEV Geometry Correction Brackets
BFGoodrich LT285/75R17 KM2 tires
ARB Red Differential Covers

I have the following planned after I recover from the first round of mods:

Warn 9.5cti-s Winch
Rock Hard 4x4 Skid Plates
Hella E-Code H4 Headlamp Upgrade Kit
Speaker upgrades including new subwoofer with additional amp

Stock wheels. :thumb: I like the looks of the 10A black Rubicon wheels and like to keep my tires narrow so I can use them year round. Snow is a part of winter here in NH and wide tires are useless in snow. Especially on a light vehicle.

The day I get mine I will take it to the tire shop and have them put on some same size duratracs and put the km2's up for sale. Here in Wisconsin I need a tire that is great in all kinds of snow, in rain and ice. Also planning a h4 conversion and at the least a subwoofer upgrade with amp. I will probably leave it alone other than that. Jeep makes it pretty nice already for my needs anyway.

I have been reading reviews of the KM2's and while I love the look and how they seem to be reviewed as unstoppable offroad tires they have some seriously scary reviews for puddled water and packed snow/ice. Living in the northeast as I do and getting more packed snow/ice and tons of rain like we do I will either have to ditch the KM2s and do as you said and get Duratrac's or go with a dedicated winter tire setup which is what I did on my Subaru STI for obvious reasons. Winter tires make all the difference in my opinion but I was hoping to only have one set of wheels and tires considering the the Jeeps wheel/tire combo will be weighing in at a heafty 80-90 lbs each!!! The KM2's are 53lbs by themselves and I assume the wheels will be 30 give or take.

Maybe a nice set of takeoff Rubicon wheels and some snow tires will be better but then I have to store the 3 season wheels in my garage which is inconvenient.

The other problem I just realized is I would have to get the TPMS for the new wheels as well... I can't imagine what they cost so I guess that answers that for me. I would probably spend $1500 to get winter tires, take-offs, and TPMS with installation/mount/balance. If I just get Duratracs and sell the KM2's I will likely only be out a couple hundred bucks. Too bad because I really like the look of the KM2's but I just can't have a tire that is as scary as I am reading in heavy wet weather and ice as these seem to be reviewed at. All the stellar reviews are from the west coast and southern parts of the country or for people that use this as a second fun vehicle. This will be my daily family hauler and occasionally get to see some dirt so Duratrac's and the Tuffy trunk security deck thing will be my first mods.

Guys if the flaming continues we will be without this thread. I'd really like to get back on topic so I and others can see what other 10a buyers have planned.
