I used my company's discount and there was no fight whatsoever.

Usually best to mention it as one of the first things so there is no misunderstanding down the road.

Realize stock only 10A is not legit jeep porn to some on this thread, but is to me.. I'm
keeping stock (other than 10A winch once avail) until I wear in stock tires
in a bit. I also promised back when I was still waiting for mine to post
pics soon after I got her... last weekend was my first chance to take her
off road...

I'm from Philly, but was on Memorial Day extended weekend trip to
Shenandoah Valley area in VA. Thanks to the fine folks at
vajeepoffroad.com posting lots of great information and directions, my
wife, 3 kids, and I were able to enjoy some spectacular trails and views.
And for my wife some really nice vineyards as well.

Not a great camera or photographer, sorry for that... but here are at least
a few pics as promised...

Thumbs up

[QUOTE=fastNugly;3809437]What are you doing to it?

Lifting it, putting on 35's, new dual exhaust muffler and a bunch of misc stuff. All through the dealer so my warranty doesn't get voided. And they gave me a pretty good deal so....

I honestly saw gig3m's and it looks so good, basically doing the same things

My 9 year old calls it the tank and my wife actually likes it.

Got to figure out what I'm doing with the brand new tires I'm replacing. Actually going to make sure that I get all the original stuff that they are replacing so I can always bring it back to stock

It's very sturdy and I don't forsee any problems with it. I always had darker than legal tint on, so I try not to give the guys a reason to pull me over and check it.
Gig, does the winch need to be installed in order for the plate mount that you used to work. Not installing a winch, but don't want to drill into the rubicon plate on the front of the bumper

Wheel question

Hey all, I'm awaiting my 10th AV, and I'm trying to decide on wheels. I will be going with a 3.5" lift, so want 35" tires. Likely the Nitto Trail Grappler (maybe BFG MT K2). However, I need to decide on wheels. It looks like most are running the stock wheels/tires.

I've notice one with 35" on stock wheels (17") but I'm considering the Procomp 7089 Wheel 18x9. That also means new TPMS. I'm not sure I'm in love with the OEM wheels (I don't like the silver outline). Also, with 35" wheels, the 17" look a bit small.

Thoughts on wheels for my new ride? There are thousands to choose from.

Generally 35" tires need an 8.5 or 9" wide rim per the manufacturer. You also need proper backspacing. Some folks are running them on stock 7.5" with spacers though. The TPMS can be taken from your stock rims. Beyond that its all about your taste. Personally I like the look of 35s on 17"s on the JKU.

I agree with gig3m's 10a
Cant wait to see yours
Any idea on which tires?
Im looking at Nitto Trail or Toyo MT for cost and because I like them.
They are slightly heavier though but are closer to actual size than other tires

I saw my first Anvil 10A on the road today ... Chrysler really screwed up.

None of the internet or brochure pictures illustrated the real color... looks nothing like the Chevy truck Blue Granite color as shown on the internet.

Just going on record to say I wish I had ordered Anvil now.

Awesome Jeep color... it will be a true classic.

Wherebouts? I still haven't seen another 10A on the road and I've been keeping an eye out. Kinda glad actually but Im sure we will start to see more of these here in SoCal as the summer progresses. Enjoying the exclusivity thus far though.

Do you plan on doing anything to make it stand out from the croud if more of them do show up in your area? I have to admit it is nice driving something that people know is yours as soon as they see it.

It was exiting east 91 on Euclid. Turned left and headed north.

Sporting Don-A-Vee plates.

Pretty nice color. The internet photos aren't even close.

I got mine on 5-22 off of my local dealer's lot. Used the Tread Lightly 1% Affiliate discount and the dealer knocked off another $2000 and gave me more for my trade than anyone else. I'm not sure if they thought they didn't have a real market for a $45k Jeep or if they needed to make a quota for the month.

Already used it to tow the ski's to the river.

The dealer said to stay with the same tires just go to the 35x12.5x17. And that's actually the guy in the service dept. who does all the work on the jeeps, not some sales guy who knows nothing. really knows what he's doing. said they are great tires and made for the tank. a bit pricey, but they gave me a good deal. my buddy who owns an auto shop already wants to buy the original tires from me!!!

By the way, i want to thank everyone (you included) on posting all the stuff on this forum...it is great to see everyone being so forthcoming with advice and info, etc. VERY helpful!!

The guy in the service dept at the dealer said that the 35's on the existing 17's will be fine. He even said it doesn't need spacers....

But, BadDog seems to know what he's talking about. Im a newbie and don't know squat.

GIG3M's has the 35's on the stock rims, check that bad boy out, its sweet.

Not too "porn-like", as it's a parking lot pic, but still.

Got my lift and tires on. Parked next to my buddies FJ this morning.

Introduction...

Hello ladies and gents,
Just picked up my Rubi 10A last night. Let's get all the important details out.

Ordered April 26th, arrived on May 30th so just over a month. I feel bad for those that had to wait longer as I know even the month killed me but this forum was good for learning and living vicariously through you guys and gals.

'13 Rubi 10A Anvil / Red with color matched fenders and hardtop.

I am a noob when it comes to all things Jeep. Wife had a Liberty a few years ago but we did nothing to it but drive it. This is my first Jeep that will be modded but I am not new to modding, my experience is all german though. If you need any tips on VW, Audi or Porsche I could probably help you in that regard though.

I currently have some mods sitting in the garage waiting for install. While I am very anxious to put the stuff on I am going to go through a slight shakedown test with it stock to make sure all is OK before I start throwing all kinds of stuff at it.

I currently have some ATX Beadlocks, Teraflex 4" Lift, Coast driveshafts and exhaust spacers waiting to go on as soon as I put a few miles on her.

Happy to have joined the club and happy wheeling!!!

Procomp 7089 or 7036

I'm considering both of these (7089 and 7036) for new 10a.

Will both work? Preference?

Size 18x9 with 35" tires.

7036
