The white lettering on the factory tires was getting on my nerves...

Had the lift installed and I picked it up last night, rushed home and put on the wheels and tires.

Also did you use a flash cal to reprogram anything?

I used AEV ProCal, worked great!

I dont know how much of that I believe but they look hella aggressive and are pretty quiet for a M/T.
I was in TTW last week when they were finishing up your corner guards. Seeing how freakin' good yours looked with the Pintlers, Nitto 35s and 3.5" lift convinced me to pull the trigger on it right then and there. I can not wait to get it done! Just waiting for them to get all the parts. My 10A's silver billet with red leather and black fenders so we won't be complete clones.

No worries man, imitation is the greatest compliment! Glad I was able to help. I'll be at cars and coffee the first Saturday of July. You should show up! It'd be nice to meet some 10a people.

Did you do the corner guards and the hd carrier too?

Not doing corner guards, but I am doing the TF hinge/carrier. I was practically sold on it based on what I'd read online, but it was good to see it installed. I'll definitely see you at one of the local meetups.

TTW does great work. But I think you can mount the 35" wheel/tire on the lowest setting. At least have then try it. They mounted mine a bit high and I had them move it down. But I think I'd be clear to go down to the lowest. Also the new carrier has some extra pads that aren't needed with the hd hinge. Make sure they're not on there. They installed it on mine and it doesn't sit quite right. I'm going back to show them and have them fix the issue. But again. Great place to work with and get it all done right.

They are made by ATX (American Racing).

They are called the ATX Slabs, they are true beadlocks. I bought them through Northridge 4x4 with free shipping

Sweet ride man I have the exact setup. I had mine hung up on the frame Tuesday after work. My buddy had to come to the rescue with his recovery strap. Since the winch is a little out of my budget at the moment, I went home and ordered a 30 foot strap that night.

35s clear the rear of the rails, with no lift, but just barely. With heavy flexing and articulation offroad, I am pretty sure they would rub. The solution, according to two reputable shops and several forums, is to trim up to an inch off the end and then re-use the plastic end plugs.

So, 10A owners who lifted with 35's, did you have to trim your rock rails? did your 10A come with a factory trimmed pinch seam?

Quite a few people have 2dr, though the majority seem to be Unlimiteds.

Warning: Soapbox Moment commencing...

I'd exercise caution with any broad brush comments or conclusions like this. The history of Jeep lends itself to the two door being "the standard". But by adding the four door, Jeep broadened its audience and subsequent sales. Who cares if some of them are kid haulers and will never see a trail. It strengthens the brand.

A compact wheelbase has advantages in some situations, while a longer wheelbase has advantages in others. Regardless, I'm fairly certain no matter where you go, you'll find both 2D and 4D Wranglers there, capably handling even the most challenging obstacles. These both are incredibly capable Offroad vehicles, even in stock form. So, whether 2D or 4D, lets enjoy our Jeeps together!

End of Soapbox Moment.

BadDog, one of these days I have to meet you. You are always right on the mark and I don't think I have ever had issue with anything you have posted. I truly appreciate your candor, style and sense of adventure and all that you add to this forum. I hope you don't mind, but I will probably look you up to buy you a beer next time I visit my sister in northern Virginia.

Keep the he faith.

That's typically defined by the seriousness of the owner.

Here's some 4 door history...

The JK Unlimited 4 door was introduced in 2007 to bring back a huge following that left the Jeep brand. Those followers included owners of Jeep Cherokee XJ's and Grand Cherokee ZJ's and WJ's with 4 doors and front and rear live axles.

When these particular platforms disappeared so did Jeep sales because the replacements were viewed undesirable. The more serious Jeep 4 door owners wanted live axles and transfer cases that provided utility like a 4x4.. not an AWD.

Then the JKU was launched and it brought back hope. A huge aftermarket developed and ultimately those followers, including many that would never consider a smaller 2 door, jumped on the bandwagon.

I believe the Jeep Wrangler is the last 4x4 on the planet - well maybe he last you can buy new under $100K.

In my opinion the more jeeps the better, four door makes more sense to some. I suppose if your a serious rock crawler the shorter wheel base will obviously be a better route to go. As for me I like it for the camping and fishing trips so I went with a four door, was skeptical at first and was persuaded by the wife for the four door and the little extra space sure has come in handy for camping. Don't get me wrong I'm still pretty rough on it I like to reach to fishing holes nobody can get to and ofcourse who dosent like mudding! I will say that the four door is just as capable but needs a lift! The first weekend I had mine I got high centered twice and had to jack up the rear and put rocks under the tires. To me half the fun is getting stuck and macguyvering ur way out just to see what it can do. Lift the four door! Still love the two door too probably will have to but another one to have both!

Longer wheel base can come in handy on inclines/declines and mud. It really has a lot of benefits as long as you have the clearance to avoid getting gutted. Wheel base gives you more stability
