12k powerplant winch line replacement

got a super great deal on a 12k warn powerplant but i want to replace the wire rope with synthetic....i think i could get away with 5/16 amsblue since its rated like 13200 or something close to that or should i go higher? 3/8 is considerably more but if i NEED it then i need it. i know my jeep weighs around 3500 - 4000 but when pulling your are probably pulling with more actual force than what jeep weighs. so should i go 5/16 or 3/8?

I'm using the smittybilt XRC 10 winch and running the synthetic rope that they offer with that in a package. They sell the line separately in all the catalogs. I love the rope and use it all the time. I pull others out and I've essentially pulled my entire jeep over some hellacious Kelly humps before my left and mine weighs 6,000 lbs. Never had an issue. I would recommend it. Never a need gloves again. They are badass!!

I'm looking in the 4WD Hardware spring catalog and they have 100 ft of 8000lb line for $199 and 94 ft of the 10,000lb line for $239. I have the latter. It works great. Highly recommend it. I would be amazed if you ever needed more than 10,000lbs. Good luck!

Oh and I've got my rope all muddy and gross and I just power wash it and its good to go. I have a cable winch on my Polaris Ranger and its a bitch compared to this one. And it's a Warn winch. I would never do cable again.
