Has anyone swapped a seat from a JKU into a JK? Can the seat brackets be swapped out to make the underseat storage work on a 2 door JK?

The problem it your 2 door brackets are what keeps the box from fitting, not the seat itself.

Does anyone know where I can get a JKU bracket to swap out?

I was in the same boat looking for some under-seat locking storage. From my hours of research and talking to a friend at Morris 4X4, there's nothing that is out yet that will work. He called several different "brands" (Bestop, Tuffy, etc.) and came up empty.

That in mind, I went with Tuffy Locking Cubby Cover, Black - 143-01
This is what I ended up going with. Easy install and does the job. The instructions were highly lacking however. Nothing but pictures. We did have to take out the plastic tray that lines the rear cubby. I have the Quadratec tray in my 09 and the new 11+ tray fit mine just fine, so we swapped.

Pretty sure the JKU bracket will not fit the JK floor pan, they are very different brackets.
