'14 vs '15 Wrangler

Hi all,

I'm looking into buying my second jeep soon. I've read that the '15 wranglers are supposed to be hitting lots around early September? I was wondering what the differences are between that and the current model. Is it worth the wait? Also, if I went now, could I use the fact that the new models will be out soon to knock a few bucks off the price?

PS- I'm looking into buying a 2-door anvil sport

Thanks a lot,
Andrew

You will not see any real price cut on the 2014s. Wranglers dont work that way. All depends what deal you can cut with your dealer. I do not believe the differences between model years are anything major.

The '15 models are shipping, and you can order one for yourself for a while now. That makes the '15 the current models, and any '14 JK's still on lots, are leftovers.

Beyond the usual constant change in colors (Anvil is still on the list), the big change for '15 is the high-end sound system upgrade. On the other end, a small change is that for the Rubicon, the '14 X pkg is now called the '15 Hard Rock pkg (change in name only).

I have a friend that accepted delivery of his 15 and the tweeters are now on the dash and his sub in the middle of his cargo space in the rear. Other than that looked the same as my 14. His stereo does sound better but he got the "premium" sound package (still not premium enough for the cost imo)

And you get a set of torx (3) for the top in a little embroidered Jeep case! That's the best part of the whole new model year!

I wouldn't mind having that.
