Sod that! Order a set of Warrior taillights; you'll never look back (no pun intended)--

(Marker and reverse on)

(Markers, reverse and signals on)

(Markers and reverse on)

Dont mind my craptacular attempts to paint the lights and license plate housing. Now, I will say, it does take some skill to install these lights; as you will be cutting the stock harness (at least; I did as to make assembly Re/Re easy) AND you will need to cut (le gasp!) into the body work to make room for the main light. Not hard to do, I had it done, wires cut and resoldered all told, 6 hours or so. You may note that on the side markers, I wired the lower to be on with the marker lamps; and the upper to come on with the signal/brakes only. One word of caution - the resistor for the signal circuit. Make certain it is attached and tucked away from anything that can melt/burn - it gets HOT if the signals are left on for an extended length of time. Very, very much worth the time and money however - the housing is very heavy steel; and the lights are now standard sized lights; meaning if you do manage to put another one out they are readily, cheaply replaceable - not like the 200$/side stockers.

It's not. These are from the same seller.

Omix ADA 17737 10 Wing Nut Air Cleaner 41 53 Willys Models | eBay

Omix ADA 17466 10 LH RH Head Gasket 4 7L 99 06 Jeep Grand Cherokee | eBay

Omix ADA 17620 10 Exhaust Clamp 2 1 4 inch HD | eBay

There is all kinds of stuff like that. I think they're listing it like that hoping someone accidentally buys it.

That's exactly what the seller is looking for. It's simple predatory sales. Almost like a thief in wait.

I just bought $1,400 worth of replacement tail lights so I don't ever have to change the oil in them and saved $100.

I had some e-Bay grill inserts on my watch list. They were $75 when I saved them. Went back 2 days later and they were $978! I assumed they hoped that people who had been watching them would go back and click buy without realizing.

It's because some sellers (eBay, Amazon) use algorithmic pricing - they have automated scripts that say, "Every 15 minutes, check the prices of these items from my competitors, and list my item at $2 higher than the highest price found" - i.e. enough to ensure a profit, but not getting out too far in front of the market. When you get two of these scripts battling it out with each other, hilarity (and ridiculous prices) ensues.

they raise the price when their stock is low so no one will actually buy it till they get more from the manufacturer, they dont wanna make a new listing, i blv it has something to do with being on top of the list when someone searches for tail light guards, the more sold the more + feedback the better chance the listing popping out at the top. plus most of us well "me" look at how many sold previously and for how much and check the buyers feedback on that product.. i could be wrong tho. but it happened to me before and i asked the seller wth are you doing raising the price 700$ and he said low on inventory and want to keep the same listing

Hmnmn, yeah, that makes more sense in this case. Interesting about the eBay-listing-specific strategy - I often encounter the battle-bots pricing on Amazon. (And the occasional delusional seller/lister.)

Went to their website @ jeepro-usa Home Page and they have them there for $1499 so doesn't look like that was a typo.

While way over priced, they do look studier than the typical plastic ones.

Do the tail lights guards offer any protection at all or are they purely for esthetics(IMO they look bad)?

I had the ones posted above but Garage Pro made them. I backed up into a tree when 4wheeling and caved in my whole corner panel. but the tail light stayed in tact lol.

Or perhaps a scammer hacked into this guys account ?
Anyone message him and question the current price vs. the last 22 sold at 59.00 ?

From what I understand they raise the price real high so that nobody will buy them when they don't have any in stock

Okay….maybe I just don't get certain aspects of the "It's a Jeep thing". I get the fact that $1500 for taillights is insane or just a typo. What I don't get is why someone wouldn't just go to the junkyard if they need a tail light, or leave it alone if it works. Mine was broken and I got a "new" one for $5. I am almost 50, so maybe the Jeep thing is a young thing. I do love my old piece of crap. But I want it to start, run & stop…..reliably. It is a Jeep, so it already has the cool factor and I don't see how $1500 taillights change that! Mine does have a lift. Don't know what kind or how much, but it is kind of a pain in the ass for me to hoist my old bones into.
