16 inch MB72s and 35 inch duratracs

Trying to do my homework on this set up for a 4 door.
I'm figuring this must be one of the lightest wheel/tire combos when considering 35s. Has anyone already done the legwork on weight per wheel for this rim and tire combo? Also I cant seem to find any pictures of this set up on a four door. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated. (I know this is a lazy question but I was up until 2 in the morning googling all this to no avail).

Think you are correct. The 35" DT is a load
range E. thicker sidewall than the C

The Hankook Mt I believe has a C/D range and also available 15" size.

Definitely would be a good choice. Have you ruled out 15" wheels? If your not stuck on getting Duratracs then you'll find even lighter combos for 35s on 15s. GY doesn't make the duratrac in that size for a 15" wheel though.

If you want light wheels look into forged wheels. Much stronger and lighter than cast. Centerline & Weld make some great light weight wheels.

Weighing the combo is on my list of things to do for mine. I can tell you that I lost very, very little gas mileage with these on 4.10 manual. That's compared to a Rubicon stock setup. This combo didn't feel much heavier than the Rubicon combo when I carried them side by side. I'm guessing low 80s???

Has to be 33s, that's the combo. 35s are like super-sing the combo. Hmm...we need a new name for this one.

Awesome... Any chance of a couple of pics please. I think you're 2 door but I'd still love to see.. What I'd really like to see are pictures from the front and rear- I just want to see if this is the stance I'm looking for. I dont know if Id prefer some 12.5 width vs the 10s these will be

Sorry. I'm out of town away from my ride. These are the only two pics I have. This is stock Rubi. I'm ordering my lift this week.

Looking good sparkplugg! Thanks for the pics.... I do believe Im sold. I've been drooling over kbbwolfs setup, but cant throw so much $$ into the rims. Besides I am a huge fan of the mb72's utilitarian look.

I was originally looking for 15 inch wheels. The tires I liked for 15's were all c rated though. I do do some occasional heavier trailer pulling and travelling to colder climates, c rated makes me nervous. I know the stockkers I've been running aren't particularly good in that respect but, I'd just feel more comfortable with higher load range on a bigger tire. Oh.. and I do have my GY treadlightly discount to use up.

I just wish I could just see on a jeep up close and personal, that would kill any more procrastination I'm sure. I've seen dozens of lifted jeeps in the last few months, but around here everyone seems to like the bigger rims.

I think I'm going to do it tomorrow..... unless someone has any revelations that may sway me!
Well mannered on highway, aggressive looking, lighter than 67lbs, not c-rated, 15-16 inch wheel fitting, 35 inch tire ideas wanted... lol

Oh and yeah , I figured out the 315 means 12.4inches wide... not 10 like I had in my mind originally. Live and learn

Those look great. Sigh, I wish they made the DT's in the 35x12.5x15 size.

I went back and forth over the whole 16's/DuraTrac question so many times my hair almost caught fire.

I REALLY wanted the DuraTracs, for a number of reasons that I didn't wanna compromise on; on the other hand, I was stuck on 15" rims. Finally threw the 15's under the bulldozer, decided to go with 16" rims, and found one that I really liked, a Procomp (don't recall what model). Oops! Discontinued.

Smelled smoke, and quickly put my head under the faucet. Close call.

That same day I found the ATX rims I've got now, based solely on a phone recommendation from a dude at Rimzoneonline.

Part stubbornness, part luck.

The next day, I started what I call my "bumper hunt," another near-bonfire.

Once you get to a certain point, no more research, knuckle chewing, or advice from strangers can help you. You just gotta make it happen as best you can, and deal with any consequences.
