18x9 rockstars and duratrac 295 65 18

Saw this picture and hope it's owner is on this forum.
I am buying this tire/wheel combo and was hoping to get some insight.
The Rockstars 18x9 only come in a 5" backspace and I have some concern that the tires might rub.

Whether or not a wheel w/5" bs will work or not depends on how wide the tire is. The 285 in your thread title is 11-1/2" wide, so it would be close.

If it won't fit without rubbing, you can always put on wheel spacers. I'm personally not a fan of wheel spacers, but if they're properly installed and you check the torque on em every tire rotation, they're safe enough.

18x9 wheel with 5 inch backspace is 0 offset..if it was an 8 inch wheel u would have 4.5 backspace at 0 offset...so in theory u should be fine...

It works and it works good! Thanks to the silver JK owner above for the inspiration.
2.5 Teraflex BB installed by yours truly and 18x9 Machined Rockstars with 295 65 18's installed by Discount tire.
No problems...backspacing is good and love the look.

Hey man, thanks for posting this. I've been contemplating this since I bought mine a month ago. I think I'm gonna go with same sizes you got.

Just my opinion but if you like these wheels in the pictures you will like them even more in person.

Was a lift necessary? I want to get the same setup minus lift.

I think the Silver one in my first post is not lifted.
I would say based upon everything I have read it would work fine without the lift.
Good Luck.
