If your only going 2.5 inches you will not need to modify the exhaust. I believe you only have to if you are going 4 or more inches.

Your lifting the entire chasis. No exaust extensions are required. This suspension upgrade does not modify any area under your Jeep requiring you to redirect any section of your exaust.

I ment to say spacers, where it comes together above the cross member so the driveshaft will have clearance...

Seems like if teraflex were to make their own spacers, they would include it in their lift kits..

Adding a spring lift is all upward travel. The only time you'll run into problems with the stock driveshaft and the exhaust crossover is if you add downward travel, like you'd get from installing a set of Bilstein 5100's.

However (you knew that was coming, didn't you), if you add TOO MUCH lift, even if it's just springs, you'll be putting your stock ds at too great an angle, and eventually it'll fail. It might last six months, a year, two years...Depends largely on how much stress you put on it wheeling, how you drive, etc. The TeraFlex exhaust extension will not make a difference, in this case. It only attempts to fix the first scenario.

You should be fine with the 2.5" spring lift.

FWIW, over on JK-F I saw a thread last week where the Teraflex rep had mentioned that they were going to start recommending the exhaust spacer for any lift 2.5" and up.

Only if the shocks are 27.5" or longer, such as the Bilstein 5100's.

There has to be someone here on this forum who is running this kit with shocks on a 2012 that could answer this..

this is off the teraflex website

"Exhaust spacers are needed for all 2012 model JK Wranglers using Teraflex suspension kits with 3 or more inches of lift. The spacers are installed between the driver and passenger head pipe flanges and the flanges of the cross pipe, which moves the exhaust cross pipe rearward. This prevents contact between the front driveshaft and the exhaust cross pipe during suspension down travel.

The 2.5 inch suspension kit will also need the spacers for the next few months. The long-term plan is to shorten the shocks on the 2.5 inch kit by .3 inches in order to prevent drive shaft droop onto the stock exhaust without spacers, but until this change in the shocks is implemented, the spacers will be needed.

Drive shaft is out of the question, at the same time i want to get the most flex out of the 2.5" i can.. it almost sounds like if i dont get a new shaft then having disconnects will virtually be pointless.. am i right on this?

You shouldn't need/require a new shaft for 2.5" of lift.

So to fully understand this all

If i have a 2.5" coil lift with shocks.. I add the exhaust extensions to push back the exhaust for downward travel, and have front disconnects... my flex will only be the amount of the shock correct?
