2.5 teraflex lift, stock rims and tires?

i was planning on installing the lift this weekend then waiting a week or so to get new rims/tires.... i have the smaller 16x7 rims and tires are all stock (2010 sport)..... besides looking weird, could this mess stuff up? should i hold off on installing the lift until i get new rims/tires? do i absolutely need new rims? thanks!

You should be fine. The lift wont mess anything up. It took me a month to get tires and wheels after I put my lift on.

You don't have to get new rims. By keeping the 16" rims, you will end up with more sidewall height which may be better for off-road. Unless of course you need more wheel width for the tires you want.

The stock 29" tires will look STUPID small with any lift, but save up for new tires/wheels if you have to. I'd recommend waiting, and doing it all at once, if possible. Also, plan on re-gearing, as I'm guessing you have 3.21 gears (if you're 6-speed), or 3.73's if you're auto. You'll want to re-gear for anything bigger than stock 32's for sure- Mark W.

16x7 is a pretty narrow wheel to put much of a tire on.... Can't really go wider than 10.5".

i agree, i think they would look stupid small, they already kind of do.... would i really need to re-gear for a 33 inch tire? it is a 6 speed but i think i have the 3:73 gears? not too sure, how do i figure that out?

You can check on your window sticker, or with your dealership. With 3.73's, 33's are fine. With 3.21's, you'll hate life- especially if you go with mud terrains- Mark W.
