So for the teraflex 2.5 inch lift i need to get the shock mount extensions.... what is that going to do?
will that help me get a better ride? dose it give me that much more of a lift like a half inch ? or do i need to just get those mounts to make the hole lift work correctly
They extend the stock shocks so you can still use them, which is what you asked about. Unless you install them, your stock shocks will be too short in the event you flex you suspension. You don't get any more lift--shocks don't affect lift height.
The stock rubi shocks are pretty good, though it'd obviously be better to have equivalently good shocks in the proper length. Bilstein and Old Man Emu would be equivalent level shocks.
It seems that some aftermarket (longer) shocks are a little bit longer than the stock shocks with extensions, so you can get a little more flex and a little more stretch on your front brake lines...
