2 door rear seat

Hey all, I am new to the forum, and as such, am not allowed to post in the wanted section... but I am on a mission to find a JK 2 door rear seat to put in the back of my JKU. I have 5 kids and they all come with. Right now, 2 have to sit on the floor in the rear with seatbelts anchored to the floor. It's not the most comfortable for them, I'm sure.

Well, my hair brained idea sounded great, and my wife was all excited to get one, when lo and behold... You can't find JK seats anywhere!

Surely someone has one that is no longer needed, or wanted, that is close to KY so I don't have to ship it.

Also, before you ask... yes I have tried every salvage yard within 200 miles of me that I could find on google...

And yes, it will fit!

Cheers!

Matt

Wrangler third row seating... nice

How exactly do you know it will fit, and how much room are you talking about? (I'm taking a wild guess that you borrowed one?)

Not an entirely horrible idea Got 4 heezens myself, though one of em's grown n flown, so not a necessity for me, but still.

Teraflex makes a bracket for it. Can be mounted forward or rear facing. From the pics on their site, not much leg room, but it sure beats sitting on the floor! Especially since mine doesn't have carpet anymore!

Yea Teraflex make the brackets but:
- you have to come up with a creative way to add seat belts
- you may have to take out the speaker box in the back (if you got one)
- not sure if the softtop will be on the way of rear sit

Already have the seat belts mounted. Rear facing, and the soft top isn't a problem. I don't have the speaker back there. I'm good to go! Just need the seat!

What color interior do you have? If you'd pay shipping and $100, you can have my gray vinyl backseat- it's been out of the Jeep almost since day 1- Mark W.

Sounds good! I'll look into what it would cost to ship. At your convenience, can you PM me your zip code, and approximate dimensions/weight of the seat? Thanks!

Matt

12514, and no clue on the dimensions- about 40" wide, maybe 24" tall folded, and 30" depth. Weight, maybe 20-25 lbs.
Anyone else, jump on in and help Mark W.

Quick question... How would you package it? Shrink wrap it? Box? Crate?

I'd probably just ship it as-is, with a bungee cord or 3 around it to keep it shut- Mark W.

I wouldn't accept them if I were you. He probably negotiated a great price for them just like his "Sunrider" Soft top.

Jump seats out of a king cab pickup would be nice, cause they can fold out of the way.

So was the top, but that didn't work the way it was supposed to did it? I can only imagine the deal you got on the condoms.
