2 door rear seat width

Can someone please measure the width of their rear seat from a 2011 2 door? Looking for third row for my JKU and want to know if I can make it work with the factory sub. thanks.

I can measure the width of my 2008 JK rear seat for you (should be the same as the 2011 rear seat) when I get home this afternoon.

CRNA, where are you located? I may be interested in selling my 2012 2door rear seat.

I'm in Ft. Pierce FL.

It won't work. Just enough space for the seat but noting else. I put a 2DR rear seat in as a 3rd row and if I did have the sub, it wouldn't have fit. See for yourself in my thread:

The only other way would be to order one of those jump seats from littleseats.com and mount it on one side. Other than that, I don't see how they can both fit.

Today I just measured the larger portion of my rear seat, and wondered about using another one as a third row (just the larger 60% portion of the JKU rear).

nice write up.

did you consider mounting the third row backwards? a la '80's station wagon style? using the tailgate as an access door?

By using the OEM rear seat from a 2DR JK, it won't adequately fit rear-facing due to the angles between them. When they touch at the top back-to-back, the front of the rear-facing seat hits the tailgate so there would not be any space for feet. I considered this before I mounted it facing forward and was disappointed that I couldn't do it that way. Oh well. You could however, do a rear-facing seat by using a smaller one like maybe a seat from a TJ since they are much smaller than JK rear seats. Or, pay the $899 for the "little seats" version.

Please let me know if you are still interested in selling the rear seat for your 2 door. I have 6 kids and i wish to add the 3rd row. I have been looking everywhere.

I know this post is a few months old but there are two options for a 3rd row seat in a JKU

Option 1 - Rugged Ridge (I think that is who sold this) sells a bracket that can be mounted in the back of a JKU and use a Rear JK seat. Not street legal and you need to figure out seatbelts.

Option 2 - This is what I have.. A company called littlepassengers sells a 3rd row seat for a JKU that has been tested and certified in CA. It is expensive but matches the fabric and comes with Seat Belts. My kids love it. 3 days a week, I drive 6 kids around and we all fit fine.

Good Luck.

I have a 2 door rear seat that I'd be willing to sell. Where are you located? If decently close to me we could possibly make a deal

INCORRECT. #3 option is the one where I added a rear OEM seat from a JK as a third row. The little seat company does sell some nice seats, but at a cost of at least $1,030 if you want a bench with seat belts. And it doesn't match the inside like OEM either. But hey, that's my .02.
