2" lifts.

35" tires with A.E.V. 2" B.B.? what has to be butchered to make this happen?

You will to need to run either wheel spacers if you plan on using your factory wheels or get aftermarket wheels with less backspacing. You will also have to remove your front bumper lower air dam. The rear pinch seem will also have to be trimmed or risk shredding your rears tires on it.

TeraFlex makes a sweet 2.5

Pay a little more now save big later.
Plus 2" I believe is pushing it for 35's especially if you planning on going of road.
2.5 is recommended for 35's. You might still have to use flat fenders or chop the stocks if you go full flex. Plus some
Of the other things mentioned.

I just have to pull the trigger.

I'm going with the TF 2.5 with shock adapters. $450 you can't go wrong.

can't go wrong..... well, maybe. More than 2".... if you are staying on the pavement.... no problema. But there's a reason why all the good 'uns make 2.5 (or almost out like the aforementioned AEV AND Full Traction - both soon to be out with 2.5" suspension lifts)..... suspension lifts. OK.... that's redundant. But you get the idea. There's a reason they have more parts, cost more, and people pay it. The factory springs/shocks are weak... you'll end up losing part of your *lift* before too long - especially if you use your jeep.

Either way..... congrats on the new ride

Maybe I misunderstood you. I though you were saying you can't go wrong spending $450 on a 2.5 inch lift done without shocks/coils... but done with shock extensions (to factory shocks) and pucks. IF that's what you said... then I'm saying there's a reason folks spend more and get suspension lifts (coils/shocks...) they cost more, but they support the vehicle better... and that $450 could be better spent (in time)...
If that's NOT what you said.... well, I best go back to drinking my bathwater.... at least I'll have an excuse for being crazy

Haha.

Ya... My original plans were for a spacer lift.

I going with the 2.5 coil lift and from what I gather the stock Rubicon shocks are OK.
figured I just go with the extensions. If I don't like them I can upgrade later.

With winter setting in, I can wait a little on the lift and I don't want to add the weight of the bumpers, (with winch), without addressing the springs.

It's speculated the AEV spring lift will have progressive rate springs and tuned Bilsteins so I want to see what they bring to market before pulling the trigger. Shock length can determine if an exhaust mod is necessary as well. I vacillate between the AEV front bumper with bull bar and without. It would help if I knew whether a deer was going to jump out in front of the Jeep or not. Another decision to be made.

If you go with the bull bar, you won't see a deer for almost a decade. If you go without, you'll hit a rogue bull moose (the only one spotted in your state since the mid 1800's) pulling out of your driveway the day after the bumper install.

I think we are starting to compare budget boosts with coil spring lifts.

Budget boosts are just rubber isolators that are placed on top of the factory springs. Coil lifts replace the factory springs with new springs. Depending on which company you go with, you will find each lift [budget or coil] will comprise of different additional components.

In my opinion, the best 2.5" lift on the market right now is the Rock Krawler 2.5" Max Travel as it includes front and rear adjustable lower control arms, an adjustable front track bar, swaybar endlinks and longer brake lines. Of course, it does cost more then the other 2.5" lifts.

I just want to know what this "stock mod"
Lift is compared to the TF 2.5 I have my mind set on

The stock mod doesn't come with bump stops like the TF 2.5, but it comes with an adjustable front track bar and adjustable sway bar disconnects. At least that is what is pictured. I suppose I need to call and make sure as the description doesn't mention the sway bar discos but the instructions do. Here is a link to the kit on Northridge site.

The TF kit comes with a trac bar relocation
bracket. I obviously don't need the sway bar disco. I believe the TF kit gives you new rears and the stock rears are moved to the front.

Oh I see. The front is adjustable. For the rear they do the same.

Looks like the TF kit doesn't address the front trac bar ?

So if the Rock Krawler kit comes with front sway bars, what is the solution for the rears? The TF kit gives you the rears and you move the rears to the front, but I am not sure about the RK. The answer to that may be the deciding factor for me.

Both their 2.5 kits are close in price.

I'm wondering about the front trac bar not included in the TF kit.

I believe with the RK it seems you can peace together anything you want.

As soon as Jason gets back to me I'm going to ask. That RK kit looks pretty darn good. If I get the TF, what if I need the front adj. TB?

Cool. Just spoke with Rock Krawler directly. They do not include new rear sway bars. They choose to include the front sway bar disconnects as it is more useful off-road. According to RK, the stock rears work fine for this amount of lift, and are not a necessity.
