Assuming it is legit, (and it seems it is) it is just another greedy individual wanting to make a quick buck by capitalizing on the death of another celebrity.
It's funny how it is supposed to be a beloved possession, but he graciously is ready to let it go just days after Chris Cornell's death.
I'd be willing to bet that the price this individual paid for it when he bought it in 2015 is just a small fraction of what he is asking for it now.
I have some personal thoughts about this kind of thing, but I think I'd better hold them in as I would probably be banned from this forum.

Greedy? You saying if you were in the same position and could possibly turn a huge profit(highly unlikely as it is) that you wouldn't give it a shot?
Made up morales be damned I'd give it a go. Greedy is making someone pay this much for something they need, smart is finding some sucker that is willing to pay for something like this even though they don't need it.
Good luck with that. Who is Chris Cornell anyway, I never heard of him. Suppose to be a Rock music star, not the rock I listen to. But most of what I listen to was recorded in the 60's and 70's. Has there been any real rock music recorded since then?
Chris Cornell, as a member of Soundgarden, Temple of the Dog, Audioslave, and as a solo artist, has solidified his place in rock history. He was very important to a lot of people, and his music has affected/ influenced millions. His death was tragic.
That being said, I don't think His jeep, nor anyone's jeep, is worth that kind of money. Obviously, the seller is an idiot.
Someone will buy it. Keep in mind someone paid 65,000 for a walking cane that was haunted. Better yet, a grilled cheese was purchased with the virgin mary burnt into it.
He says it will increase in value, this is a no brainer. If only I hadn't spent $495 on my new Lonzo Ball hoop shoes.
Luckily I have a football signed by Steve Young & a baseballs signed by Steve Garvey & Dale Murphy, wonder if I can sell to fund this wonderful piece of American Rock history?
Piece of crap ebay seller, look at his ebay feedback and within six months ago he sold his billet silver grille to buy the POS angry bird one, so much for being from Chris, LOL!
:whistling:i too agree just a bit odd. i'm a huge soundgarden and audioslave fan for years. i think an over the top price would be around 100k or so, but 3/4 million, thanks just freaking funny. i do agree also, why not try, just didn't like the description he wrote, could be done more tastefully. just list the jeep description, mention the former owner, say will provide documentation, but sounds like he just didn't love chris, but was in love with chris, lol
How many non-collectible cars owned by stars have ever sold for this much? Maybe a rare excepion would be if it was in a really popular movie. We're not talking about a rolls-royce owned by John Lennon or anything notable here.
I apologize if I offended anyone concerning Chris Cornell. I come from a different era than many on this forum. I remember when JFK was assassinated, watching man's first walk on the moon live and Woodstock (wasn't there though). I looked up Chris Cornell and he was undoubtedly a fine musician, gone far too soon like many from the 60's and 70's.
I wasn't offended, but you're missing out if you limit yourself to 2 decades of music! You don't get to listen to Metallica! You barely even get any Skynard!
Come out from under your rock and smell the European death metal. That'll make you wish your jeep was a Viking long ship.

He really meant It is with great pleasure and greed that I say that as many of you know that Chris Cornell passed away on Tuesday May 17, 2017 in Detroit. I cant tell you what an opportunity this is for me to exploit his death and I deserve to do so having been a fan of his of over 25 years. Taking advantage of Chris's death will make such a great impact to my bank account. My condolences go out to his wife, children and family members. Now if I can only get them to autograph the glove box, I could raise the price to $1,000,000.
Damn it says "this listing has ended"...did you get it for a buck? hehe
Wonder if someone actually bought it or this guy came to his senses.
RIP Spoonman!
