2007 Jeep value - opinions welcome/needed

I'm sorry to ask the same or similar question that everyone ask when they join the forum and are buying a Jeep. I found a 2007 sport with 35's on nice aluminum wheels. It has the 4:10's with a 44 dana rear, 24000 miles, soft top power group option with an automatic. What's it worth? The KBB trade-in value of my car is 12,000 and they are giving me 14,000. They are offering to sell the jeep for 23,000. That makes me think they are selling the Jeep for around 21000. My local dealer (different guy, high school buddy) will give me 15000 for my trade against the invoice for a 2010 with 0% interest. The invoice on the Jeep he has is 27700. I have ran this through my head for days and I need to get this Jeep bought so I can start playing!

Thats 9000 difference for a 2007 or 13000 difference for a 2010. But I will need 2500 worth of tires, rims and lift.

What to do, What to do!

You haven't told us if these are 2 or 4 door models. My gut would say go for the 2010 especially at 0%. You're borrowing money for free. The concern with buying the 2007 is whether or not the lift was done correctly. Correctly done they can be great. Done wrong and you are looking at a money pit.

Sorry about that, it's a 4 door.

Are the new stock aluminum rims and tires worth anything?

Are you talking about the 32" GY SRA on 17" rims? They're not worth much. You're market is people who bought a Jeep with 16" rims and don't want to buy Rubicon take offs. In other words, it's small. If you are changing out tires and rims right away, opt for the stock steelies and save a few bucks up front.

Just bought a 2007 stock Sahara Freedom Top + all options with 11,500 miles for $22.8. MSO from Chrysler so I'm the first owner.

How did you do that? (Maybe that's another thread. )

The other choice is a new 2011!

I bought an 07 stock 2 door, automatic, rag top, 1 owner, mint with 17,000 miles on it for $16k last January.

depending on location, these Jeeps vary widely. the dealer told me they basically marked my Jeep up very little due to it's sh*tty gas mileage, poor economy locally, quota, and the .45 seen tucked in my trousers
