2007 soft top

Hey community - quick question, I am considering buying a frame / soft top from a 2007 4 door wrangler to go on my 2010 4 door Sahara - will the 2007 fit on my wrangler?

Yes, it will fit your Jeep, but you need to get the door surrounds that match the top. They changed the design of the top for the 2010 and up models from the 2007-2009 models.

So, yes the 2007 top will fit on your 2010 as long as you have all the hardware and the door surrounds for it. Make sure to get the brackets for the roll bar where the top will pivot, if you have a hardtop now. Some people will forget to remove them off their Jeep, then you'll have to get them at a dealer.

Good luck with your purchase, and if you have any questions, shoot em a PM and I can help you out!

Check to make sure that the header has been updated. The first gen of them used plastic instead of metal. They had a lot of wind noise. You can pick up a new header for around $100 and it will also fix the problem with the different location of the center loop on your windshield. I believe the moved the center loop over a few inches in either 2009 or 2010, a new header has a longer cut out to allow it to fit with the loop in either position.

Thanks ExtremeTerrain! Can a soft top usually go through a car wash as well? Sorry for what might be a "newbie" type of question but I've never had a soft top for my jeep - just the hardtop...

SaharaTen,
You're welcome!

As gregaf3 said, the car wash will be no issue for your top. I run mine through all the time and never had an issue.

I usually pressure wash my top after a wheeling trip to get the mud off and so it doesn't stain. It's the best way to clean the tops in my opinion, scrubbing them takes forever and is a chore. I will spray mine down with Simple Green and let it soak for maybe 3-4 minutes then use the power washer and spray it clean.

Shoot me a PM if you need anything else!
