2007 soft top vs 2010 soft top?

Will a 2010 Sunrider top fit a 2007 ?

(both 2 doors) And it is the complete top with frame...never used by hard top owner.

Would like that Sunrider feature but don't wish to spend a lot of $$ trying to find out...anyone?

If the seller is close enough you could try before you buy?

If you know someone with a 2010 you could ask to try it out on your 2007?

Just some thoughts.

My guess is that they haven't changed either the doors or the top of the windshield. Possibly just the way that the top is constructed. Bottom line it will probably fit.

No! The 2010 are new and different. The 2010 uses a cable to keep the top secure above the doors. It's pretty slick, actually. I'll try to get some more info posted about that.

But the little plastic "canards" that fit in the belt rail are not there and the door surrounds are slightly different.

Yah, but, if you are getting the top and the surrounds and the whole shabang in the purchase, will it fit the windshield, door tops, tub and rear gate?

That's what I would have thought too...what I would be buying is the complete soft top with all hardware (unless the hard top shares some of this??)
I'm clueless, as this is my first Wrangler and I have not even put the top down yet...gotta wait for some nice weather.

Dang, why does no one ever accept the easy-for-me answer?

As far as I know, none of the basic Jeep stuff changed at all.
Just the top and the rails over the door. So yes, you should be fine.

But let me double check. We do make the 2010 stuff for Jeep, but it just started to become available as an "aftermarket" part - and I haven't spent much time with it. These are the first questions on 2010 stuff I've seen.

If you have a Jeep that came from factory with just a hardtop, and you are buying a used (or even a barely not really used) soft top, make sure that it includes the door surrounds. They're the plastic "wings" by the doors. Lots of people think they should stay with the Jeep, not with the top. And they are expensive to buy.

The hard top does not share any pieces parts with the soft top. Door surrounds come off and the hard top forms its own seal with the door.
