2007 to 2011 Soft Top Question

I just got a 2011 four door Jeep Wrangler Unlimited; I have a buddy that has a 2007 soft top and was wondering if it will fit my Jeep?

And as long as you get all the hardware (door surrounds, etc) that come with the top.

Yeah you will have to modify the header bar a bit in the middle. I just used a file and grinded some of the plastic down. Or you can by a current year header bar for $50 or so.

No need to buy a new header. The 2 header latches are in the exact same spot on all years. The center one was shifted 1.5" left in 2011, but that barely matters on the hard top. The center latch isn't used on the soft top

Please don't give people incorrect information. To fit an 07 soft top on a 11+ JK you must either modify the center notch on the soft top header bar or buy a new header. Check all the previous posts on the subject or ask any of us that have this setup. Can you latch it down w/out modifying or changing it? Yes. But it will bow up in the middle, leak like crazy, you'll have tons more wind noise, and you'll warp the plastic header which is why they changed all the new headers to metal to stop the warping issue.
