Exclamation 2008 4 door

How in the heck do you put the backseats flat in my 2008 Wrangler Unlimited 4 door? This is the first Jeep I have owned. Any help is greatly appreciated

There are tabs on the seat cushions by each door. Pull them and the seat lifts up and folds forward, against the front seat back.

Then release the seat back and fold it forward. The headrests fold also as the seat back comes down.

???

Okay, I am NOT an idiot, but the loops? Are you referring to the metal hooks where I hook my kids car seats into? I found a tiny 'button' to push, but it didn't do anything.
4 years of college, 25 years screwing with cars and I can't get a seat down. Good thing I am married and don't need to put it down for some other reason

I am 41 and married, but I am sure if you were 20, single on a Friday night and had to get the seat down you would find away!

The loops might be tucked down the side of the seat.

Are you trying to recline the rear seats or fold them out of the way for cargo?

There are vinyl or cloth tabs near the corners on the seat themselves. It's not a "fold and tumble" type seat that the TJ's have.

Yiou have to release and fold the seat part itself, then fold the seat back down flat.

I'm 60 and figured it out

You guys must have different seats than mine, mine has a 60/40 split back seat and there are 2 loops on the seat back that you just pull and the seat just folds forward.

Hey, that is what mine has. I think the problem was that I was looking for the release mechanism BEFORE removing my dual car seats.

BTW, taking the top down is harder than the old CJ's, can't wait to put it up

The boys LOVE the top down (at 3 and 4 they love anything new!)

This is a great forum. Thanks.
