2008 JK Oxygen Sensors

My 2008 jk did not pass inspection because it was throwing codes showing that all four oxygen sensors were bad. I replaced all four and cleared the codes but the check engine light is still on. I had someone pull the codes again and it is still showing all four are bad. He cleared the codes and the second the ignition was turned on the codes were thrown again. Could anyone help me with what could cause the ecm to think that all four sensors are bad?
Thanks for any help.

I hate to bring this up.... Does your 08 use oil ????
If so could it be that the CATS are plugged up or partially plugged ???? Just an idea.
Good Luck.... "BH"

My 2007 is doing the same thing, but now started hesitating and surging on acceleration. Mine doesn't use oil. Probably taking it in to dealer, will let you know if I find out anything.

Mine has a pretty bad random low rpm misfire. It would seem unlikely that both cats where plugged or partly plug at the same time. Also after the codes are cleared they will pop up again when the ignition is turn on and the engine not running.
Iím taking mine to the dealer. Iím thinking that it is the computer the is the problem.

Diagnostic rule #1: Just because a part is named or implied in the code description does NOT mean that the part is bad. Does it really make sense that all 4 O2 sensors would crap the bed at once? No. You need to find what they have in common and fix the real problem instead of tossing parts at it. Those 4 O2 sensors cost more than taking it to a pro and getting a proper diagnosis.

What are the code numbers? Saying you have O2 codes means nothing because there are half a dozen legitimate codes for each sensor and another dozen codes that get blamed on oxygen sensors but really have nothing at all to do with them.

Yes but like playing the lottery that small chance of a quick and easy fix sure does make you want to skip rule #1.
The codes are P0032, P0038, P0052, P0058

And just like the lottery, 99.9999999% of people spend thousands hoping to hit the jackpot and never win a thing.

Those codes are not for the O2 sensors, they are for the heater circuits. All of the heater circuits will probably be supplied either power or ground by a common source. The only wiring diagram I round online was for an 07, but they are probably very close. All of the power comes from the PCM and all of the grounds go to G104. I would start with the heater ground. Trace the wiring from each of the sensors and look for damaged areas. If the wiring looks OK just start searching for body and frame grounds in the engine compartment and make sure they are OK. If you don't have a set of service manuals you are probably going to spend a mountain of time sniffing this out, and you might even if you have the manuals.

Just an update. Took it to the dealer, the PCM was not recognizing the oxygen sensors thus the PCM will need to be replaced.

That sucks. You must drive the wheels off of it.

This is going to sound stupid but what is the warranty on the pcm? Mine is still at dealer and they think it's the pcm as well.
