2009 - Low Whistle/Air Noise at ~ 30/40 mph

On non-windy days..is this normal?

Rockin an 09 wrangler with the softtop.

At about 30-40 mph I get a very low whistle and an air-blowing noise...sounds kind of like one of the vents are open, but not.

Is this normal?

Where's it coming from? Wrangler's aren't especially air tight, so this is what I'd call a "They all do that sir" or TADTS for short.

But if you can find the source you can eliminate it.

The air sounds like its coming from around the windshield...nothing coming in (no air) from what I can sense just noise...guess it's just normal.

Adjusting from going Car -> Jeep...

Have you tried cracking on of the windows or turning the vent on to relieve the negative air pressure in the interior?

Huh?.....mine is so tight I have to slam the door to get it to close. I've been used to just closing the door all summer with the soft top. Now with the hard top, I'm constantly opening and re-closing the door sometimes more than once to get it to close. While inside and closing I can feel the pressure in my ears. Mine is as tight as it gets. I can remember this type of tightness in my parent's brand new vw beetles circa 1969 and 1965 both were tight when new. Haven't experienced anything like it since until the Rubicon.

X4

Soon as I start the vent with the soft top on the top puffs out slightly.

I seem to have the same noise, and I can't be sure, But I feel like it wasn't always there. As if it started suddenly one day and has been there ever since. I would love to hear a fix for this as well.

There have been some issues with the throttle body oscillating. Makes a high pitched screechy noise that can be heard coming from the front. If it is that, good luck. I have heard of this issue but haven't heard of anybody solving it yet. I can point you to some threads if you are into experimenting.

I think my radio antenna makes a whistling noise. I haven't tried to remove it yet to see if it goes away....maybe this weekend.
