2010 Basic Warranty - is it transferable?

The Jeep website clearly states the 5yr/100K powertrain warranty is transferable, but what about the 3yr/36K basic?

In the warranty booklet all the different warranties say the same thing under "who is covered"...

Quote:
You are covered... if you are a purchaser for use of the vehicle.

So it sounds like it is transferable. Anybody know for sure?

Thanks!

Great! Thanks for the replies. I just got my jeep... a 2010 unlimited sport. Everything looks good so far, but it's nice to know i have both the basic and powertrain warranties.

LOVE THE JEEP!

just an update to my original question...

I took my 2010 unlimited (bought used) to the dealer with a short list of issues. Everything was covered including items under the basic and powertrain warranties. No problems with warranty transfer.

Thanks for all your replies.

warrenty is trasferable from the origanal buyer to the second buyer but beyond that it stops being transfered. so if your the 3rd owner it does not transfer to you.

this is what i have been told by a couple dodge dealers in the past and a few people i know had the same problem with dodge vehicles.

It's the aftermarket/add-on/extended warranties that will give you trouble.
Factory warranty covers the vehicle, no matter how many times it's bought and sold.

Now.. .once you start making MODS, that's a whole different can of worms.
