2010 Dealer Discounts

Are we allowed to talk about "deals" from dealers? I'm looking at a 2010 Sahara JK and while I think they gave me a good discount, it still seems high. While I was in the dealership they were literally unloading the first 2011 (two door) wranglers. I know they must be feeling pressure to move them. I have them offering Employee Pricing, Tread Lightly discount and a discount through Costco.

Cool

I for one would be very interested in hearing what that final bottom line amounts to. I'm in a similar pre-purchase frenzy and continue to seek information on "best deal".

Best I've come up with myself so far is tricked out Mountain 2010 4 door with Costco discount, for a tick under $27000. They're going to have to do better before I leap.

I just bought my 2010 Sport 2 weeks ago (last week of Sept). The stickered MSRP was @ $27,500 and I got it for $26,000 OTD...so basically $3500 off MSRP. I probably could have done a little bit better, but I wanted a particular color...the dealer even brought mine in from another dealer 4.5hrs away.

Question

"MSRP was @ $27,500 and I got it for $26,000 OTD...so basically $3500 off MSRP."

Is there a type here or is my math skill disappearing along with my 401K?

MSRP....27,500
...........-3,500
--------------

TTL +2,000
--------------
I paid 26,000 OTD

Looks right to me.

I'm in auto sales and I can tell ya this go on edmonds you can literally build your car as long as you know ALL options on the vehicle and get with a few dollars msrp and dealer invoice. Haven't looked at jk markup but if you can buy somewhere from invoice to -500 under before rebates you did about as good as you can

Cool

"TTL +2,000"

title/tax/license??

That's a big difference I hadn't considered....here in Orygun we don't have 'sales tax' & the plates cost about $75/2 years. Title/doc fees seem to be in the $125 range from what I've seen lately.

It's pretty exciting getting a new ride whatever the savings.

There's a LOT of variation in the add on & option list for extra charges.

I went thru the ebaymotors built & came up with a lot cheaper for 2dr Wrangler than I can seem to find one from any local dealer here.

The CostCo discount for me is right about $1k, I'll have to check to see what others they will credit.

Somehow edmunds doesn't seem to come up with the same numbers for me, adds up more than ebaymotors.

White JK Unlimited, manual, Sahara; MSRP $30,400. Invoice is $28,800. I have them at $28,529 with negotiating, Tread Lightly and Costco. GOT to some pressure to move them. They need to sale, I don't need to buy. I'm gonna have to wait and hope no one steals it.

Going through the same myself. I'm in the process of trading in my 06 Liberty and was looking for a 2010 Sahara Unlimited. Had my heart set on surf blue which limited selection but I've gotten quotes on various trims in other colors for dealers. Based on those quotes I'm now looking at an 2011. There's about a 900 dollar gap between the model years where I'm at. Not enough to get me into a Rubi so figured I might as well go for the newer. Not crazy about the new interior but the color matching freedom top is nice for day to day. Now if I could just find images for cosmos blue... as it's the only color I have not seen.
It was mentioned but this little tool has been invaluable and right on the money for the dealers quotes around these parts. I suspect after the first of the year is when you will see any significant drop.
