2010 Gear Ratio

I am trying to figure out what the gear ratio is to my '10 JK sport with auto. I know I have read a thread that talks about the available ratios and also how to figure it out using RPMs at speed, but I can't find them. I run about 2000 rpms at 70.

Thanks

JD

IF you have the stock 29" wheels, then you have 3.73 axles.

You'd be turning about 1800 RPM at 70 if you had 3.21s

Here's a good gearing calculator to play with tire sizes, gears, etc, (you have a 42RLE tranny)

I just got my build sheet for my 2012 and it says I have 3:21 gears but I have automatic transmission My 09 with auto had 3:73's

Is it for sure that all auto trans are 3:73? maybe it isn't reflected on the build sheet.

You can always jack it up and rotate a tire and count the revolutions on the driveshaft. Mark it first so you can see when it starts moving.

That build sheet may have a default of 3.21 and an option of 3.73.

If your build sheet says 3:21, then thats what you have. 3:73 is an option.

Ya I just looked at the build it online and 3:21 is standard with the automatic. 3:73 is a whopping $75 extra.

You have 3.73s. Unless it's been regeared, there's no other option. Pre-2012, all autos (absent Rubis and a handful of 2007s) came with 3.73s.

No. Starting in 2012, 3.21 is the default ratio for autos is 3.21. So absent a mistake on your build sheet, you have 3.21s.
