2010 Hard Top (question)

Hello Guys!

I am a Current TJ owner looking to add to my Jeep family with a Sahara Unlimited and I am about at wits-end here guys!!

I cannot find a model of Sahara with all the options I need, so I am resolved to the fact that I must order.

So, I was first informed that Chrysler was no longer allowing orders because they were only making certain packages and was also told that the factory was shut-down. I was able to find that the factory was in fact up and running and were accepting new orders... Ok, first hurdle complete.. Now, they are telling me that I cannot order a new one with a Hard Top because the company who makes the hard tops is out of business.. Has anyone heard of this by chance?

I know these guys are just trying to "Strong-arm" me into purchasing their inventory, but since the factory was shut-down, inventory is limited and they are way over MSRP.. I cannot stand Car Dealers and the only thing I want to do is spend more money on another wrangler!!

Thanks for any input provided!

Timber

Deekum,

Did you order yours or were you lucky enough to find local inventory?

Thanks

I saw a cartoon once where a worker fell into a vat of soup. The boss yelled "Quick! Change the labels to 'extra chunky'"

Car dealers are like that. No matter what happens, they will modify the story to meet their needs and goals. There is huge chaos in the automotive industry right now. No one is sure exactly what is going on.

But the dealer will use that as an advantage.

You need a new dealer. Or certainly a new salesman. See if they all start telling the same story. Find one willing to search inventory all around the northwest.

Go for some of the internet guys - they deal via email, and they deal in volume. Less nonsense. They expect you to have talked to other dealers.

Remember that a salesman's dream customer is someone who has already fallen in love with the car, done no research, and likes to buy at the closest dealership.

Sad to see some good dealers got cut and garbage like that are still in business. Go to another dealer and don't step foot back on their lot.

What are the options you need that are so difficult to find?

^^ Exactly, what are the options that are so elusive for you to attain on any pre-built units?
