2010 Jeep Wrangler Stick/Perforamce Chip

Driving a 2010 Jeep Wrangler w/stick, would you put a performance chip or any other kind of chip in the engine? I thought that if you wanted better perforamce out the engine, you would drive a automatic w/a performance chip? Would a performance chip do any good driving w/a stick?

There may be some minor tweaks you can make, such as tune for different octane, but I really don't see a huge benefit for a manual trans performance wise.

It really won't. Automatics can be tweaked a bit with the adjustment of shift points (crisper shifts) but you don't get additional power. Since you control your shift points there's really no benefit to do anything else. I find that my 10 Rubi with a manual and 4.10's performs just fine for me. I have no complaints.

Do some searching on the forum/net for the flashpak superchip 3875. Lots of opinions. I love it, but I do have an automatic. I think you will still feel a positive difference even with the 6 speed, but maybe not worth your coin. I will not go back. I even shelved the idea of going with a supercharger for now. Like all the parameters you can adjust with it. The resale is great on them too if you don't like it.
