Hello WF Members:
I just got my 2010 JK 2 door sport 2 days ago,, " New from dealer". I came home from work, and went out to get food, I notice fluid on the driveway when I came back. I looked under my JK and noticed that the whole rear of the jeep was covered with brake fluid comming from the passenger " rear" brake right where the 2 metal connections meet at the caliber. The reason for not seeing the fluid when I left my driveway was because the fluid is collecting inside the rim and acting like a catch pan, as the wheels turn centrifugal force pushes the fluid all over my chasis.
My brake fluid level is a little lower than the min line. I will be calling the dealer in the morn to come get their jeep for service. I suggest to the new JK owners especially the 2010's to check their brake lines, where the stainless fittings connect to the calibers. After checking my other 3 wheels , the connection to the caliber where the leak is , does seem to be not seated correctly. Hopefully this is a freak thing. New Jeep and already need to take time off work.
I only have 240 miles on the odo. And my jeep is only a highway rig, no offroading at all. I will keep everyone posted on how Chrysler handles my issue at the Dealer.
