Angry 2011 4 door jk factory hardtop wiring

My wife purchased me a factory hardtop for my 4 door wrangler 4X4 sport model for my birthday. The dealer installed the top and it looks great. Once I got it home I checked my owners manual to see how to turn on the rear windshield wiper and defroster. To my suprise my sport model does not have the controls installed for these options. I called the dealership and was told by the service manager that those options cannot be made to work with a sport model and they would provide no refund as the top was already installed. Is there anyone out there who makes a retrofit kit to make these options work? If not I could cobble up a home made system provided I can find some wiring diagrams for my model. Needless to say I will never bring my jeep back to that dealership as they failed to inform us of the non working options. Their excuse was they did not know it wouldn"t work when they sold it to my wife. It seems that the Chrysler Certified technicians and staff are not very well trained in the servicing of their own products.Anyone have any ideas how to make this work?

How did the human race ever survive without a rear window defroster or wiper?

While I will agree that the dealer should have told you about this, your wife has a large measure of responsibility too. She should have checked on this. She was the purchaser.

If the dealership had told her that the controls would be there and work then you would have a legit beef. Live and learn.

^x2. I think the thought of not having it is much worse than the reality. I have had mine about 4 months now and have never used the rear defroster. Rear wiper maybe once, but not really even for its true meaning. I was just messing around with the different options. Personally, I wouldn't worry about adding them. It probably wont be worth your time vs how much they are used.
