What is the height from the ground to the bottom of the front fenders on a 2011 stock JK sport. I am wondering because I want to know how much I have gained by adding rubicon springs and shocks and a 1.25" body lift, and then adding a body armour front bumper. Just wondering what I gained. I still have to add a winch. Thanks

(Sigh.) Very common misconception.

There are no such thing as "rubicon springs." They may very well be identical to--or even shorter than--what you had. You've got to look at the part numbers of the springs you had and the springs you got to see if the new ones are any taller.

Even then, there are going to be too many variables to actually give you an answer. The only way to tell would have been to measure before and after.

Some people are so picky. 2dr stock sport. without going out to the garage and climbing under the jeep, i think i went from 56 last 2 digits in rear springs to 58, front from 16 to 18. if i remember correctly i think it was 35" from the ground to the bottom of the front fender flares. just wondering if someone has a stock 2011 sport 2 dr if they can measure it for me. I am sitting at 39" right now. when i removed my stock springs and placed them on the ground next to my "rubicon springs" my stock springs were at least 2-3" shorter. just looking for a simple answer. Thanks

I changed my 12' stock sport springs(13 front and 56 rear) to 19 fronts and 60 rears. That is the stiffest/longest Jeep/Chrysler oem spring for the 07'-12' JK's that I know of.
Expect about .25"-.3" per increase in spring number from existing spring.
I gained 1.75" front and 1.3" in the rear.
Added RS9000XL's all the way around. Set to 3 front and 4 rear. Rides nice, but not too firm.
Love the adjustability.
Not that mushy stock shock ride.

The spring number is the last two digits on the spring part number tag that should be wrapped around the springs. Unless they were torn off.

I'm not being picky--the numbers are indeed the only way to tell whether the springs are stiffer, and rubicons don't necessarily get stiffer springs.

At least one 2 door Rubicon I know of on this forum had factory 14/55 springs, while another had 19/60. If the coils you gotten were 14/55, your jeep would've dropped. So coil numbers are actually information we need.

And because of the variety in tires, gear, factory springs, gas in the tank, wear and tear, etc., I do think it's going to be very hard to draw any conclusions off of the height of other folks' Sports. At the very least, you'll need to know their spring rates which vary even among "identical" jeeps.

You're likely to be just as accurate going with the .25" per increase in spring number guesstimate, which means the coils probably got you about half an inch, plus or minus a bit.

Nah, he's new and I kind of came off like a jerk. I was tired when I responded last night. It's easy to forget that most people don't see the how many times the same questions get raised here.
