2011 Unlimited, 2 wheel drive?

Will Chysler be making the 2011 Unlimited Wrangler with 2 wheel drive? (The make your own web page does not have this option for the 2011 Unlimited model). (This is for Florida driving.)

Fortunately I've never been traumatized by seeing a 2wd Jeep. Hopefully the no 2wd for 11 is true.

I suppose if you want a convertible SUV but have no interest in wheeling, snow driving etc then wrangler 2wd would make sense; for you...for the overwhelming majority of people buying a jeep though 4wd is a good part of why they bought it...I'm glad to see 2wd go bye bye.

I just recently bought a 2011 Rubicon (waiting to get it, can't wait!) and didn't even realize they ever made a 2wd wrangler until I got to talking to people about it, looking at all 2010 models etc...I was stumped as to why anyone would want one.

If u want 2 wheel drive buy a Liberty. Who ever came up with the 2 wheel drive Wrangler should face the firing squad.

If they still made 2wd unlimited I would consider buying one and then get the Dynatrac front 44 which addresses all the week issues with the stock axle including the ball joints.

I would then get a better front drivshaft that would not hit when installed on lifted automatics.

Then I am sure I could find a used transfer case and also the Advance Adaptors tailhousing reduction box to get an addition low range.

I would lift it so the stock springs and shocks would be gone as would the wheels and tires............

I am not sure how I could not come out ahead by doing this?

No vehicle with the "Jeep" name on it should have ever built with only 2 wheel drive! It just goes against everything that IS Jeep.

Actually they do have a 2WD for 2011.
Just don't mess with the "Extra Stick" to the left. I'm sure that, if/when you resell it on down the road, it would command a better resale value than a 2010 'urp' RWD. Jus' sayin
